Stunning rooms which are lovely and warm, private and comfortable bed. Plenty of things to do locally but a car is very useful

Great location, fantastic food supplied for breakfasts and snacks. Easy check in, great amenities. Restaurants very close and overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

An all-around 10/10 bucket-list experience! Wow. Just... wow. I stayed here last night and I’m still buzzing. I watched the auroras dance all night long from the comfort of the warm glass igloo without even needing to step out into the cold. Hopping into the outdoor hot tub/spa area right next to the cabin under the stars was the absolute highlight.

The breakfast was fresh but the variety was a bit limited.

The hotel is right next to the national park so great for hiking. The hotel is also in the centre of Saariselkä which is compact and pedestrian friendly so this makes it easy if you’re using buses to get in and out of town and don’t have a vehicle. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant are good. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. Be aware that activities book out and so if you want to do more than hiking you’ll need to plan and book ahead.

The accommodation was very homey. Simple but very comfortable. The owners Tohir and his lovely wife Victoria were very welcoming and accommodating.

We stayed 1 night in an Aurora cabin during January. Unfortunatly we did not see the Northern Lights, as the weather was too cloudy, but we still enjoyed our glass roof cabin experience. The Aurora Cabins were very modern inside, and the glass roof was heated, for clear viewing of the sky. These cabins are facing the North, to maximise your chances of seeing the lights. The Star Artic Hotel resort is located on the top of a big hill, which offers really good views over Sarriselkä and Inari....
