We loved our stay here. This house is quirky, comfortable, and in a great location. It is on a large lot, so we had so much room for our dogs (by the way, thank you to the owner for accepting them!). The pool was perfect, as was the hot tub (heats up hot in only 30 minutes!). Just so you know, the house is old. It is not your modern, spiffy white, ultra clean property, but I mean that in a good way. It's an older home. But that's the charm of it. Pros and Cons: It's walking distance to Old Town LQ, lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Fritz Burns Park is just one block away. Very fun! My opinion is you definitely want to stay in La Quinta vs. Palm Springs/Indio/etc. The separate casita is adorable! The yard has orange/grapefruit trees (so fun to pluck some every morning for breakfast!). The kitchen is small and dark, so not a chef's dream. But we ate out a lot so we were fine. The TV room off the kitchen is small, with a tiny old sofa, but we made due. The bedrooms were very comfortable and very quiet! There were two small dogs in the property behind the house. Many days they yapped for hours. Then we would not hear them for 2-3 days. I am very sensitive to barking but was fine and learned to ignore it. The owner Todd was very communicative! Took care of our needs very quickly. There is a sunken living room upon entry so just be careful with small children or elderly. Loved the quirky artwork and decor! All in all, we loved our time here. Would stay again a heartbeat!!
