"Lovely hotel with incredible views over the sea, very nice pool, good location with restaurants etc nearby and a 15 mins walk to the main part of Puerto de la Cruz (a bit steep on the way back). Plenty of parking within 5-10 mins walk. Breakfast is good, only negative is that the lifts are quite slow. "

"Excellent location, excellent staff. The breakfast was great and it's a really beautiful place. The rooms couldn't probably do with a slight facelift but it's part of the charm and they're clean, which matters more. I had to switch rooms a few nights in because there was a major leak in the bathroom, these things happen. More importantly, the staff were so helpful and ensured my replacement room had an equally good view. The balcony rooms are 100% worth it. I had such a good time staying here and I've stayed at 5 different hotels in the area. It has a traditional feel, it's family run and there's so much history."

"I recently stayed at Hotel Atlantic El Tope and overall had a pleasant experience, especially considering the price and location. The walk back up can be a bit tiring, but taxis are cheap and quick if needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit dated in terms of decor. Housekeeping was consistent, and I appreciated the balcony space—it really adds to the experience, especially in the evenings. The pool area was one of the highlights. It’s spacious, never felt overcrowded, and offers great views. There’s also a bar nearby, which makes it easy to relax during the day. Food was decent but not exceptional. Breakfast had a good variety, but dinners could feel repetitive after a few days. If you’re staying longer, I’d recommend exploring local restaurants in town for more variety and authentic Canarian food. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, always willing to assist with directions or general questions. Tips for future travellers: * Request a room with a sea view—it’s worth it. * Be prepared for the uphill walk back to the hotel. * Mix hotel dining with local restaurants for a better food experience. * Great base if you plan to explore northern Tenerife rather than just stay in a resort. "The rooms were clean but in need of an upgrade. Bathroom in need of upgrade - bath was very plastic feeling and shower rather feeble. The staff were excellent, they went above and beyond for us as we were celebrating a 21st Birthday while there. Had a sea view. Food choices were good although sometimes the food was lukewarm. I did notice some people microwave their food. Entertainment was good, something for everyone during the day and at night too - Entertainment team were very good Hotel is family friendly Overall had a lovely week away"
