Location excellent, less than 5 mins from the port and to the only 7-eleven on the island for snacks and drinks and close to good places to eat. We rented e-bikes via the link from Quaint House and it was the best way to get around to a the art sites on the island. Little Plum served great food. Highly recommended. "

"Fantastic location near train station and ferry pier for travel to Art Islands Naoshima, Tejima and Inujima where accommodation can be hard to find at peak times.Comfortable room and good breakfast with wide choices. "

"This was one my favourite places I stayed in Japan. Great location close to the train station, buses and the ferry port. All staff members were lovely and helped me plan my trip to Naoshima and Teshima islands as well as recommended places to eat in Tamano. "The staff were welcoming and accommodating from beginning to end. Each day our beds were reset to our individual preferences and all the toiletry amenities were topped up with a fresh bottle of water per person. The view of the Valedrome stadium + timing of the race and weekend activities made our stay top notch! We just missed the public bath house but loved that it was part of the amenities available to hotel guests, along with bike rentals. The Forq was also a great restaurant /lounge space...

I guess the owner doesn't feel like spending any money on the place.
