Amazing View!

Had a great stay at Poipu Shores. The views are stunning, the pool is great, and the location is perfect for a short walk to the beach. Seeing turtles everyday was a highlight :)

Great spot

Really nice location. A/C is window units. Property requires some pre-registration tasks (copy of your drivers license and car insurance info) that is a bit unusual.

Loved our stay

Stayed here around a week for our baby moon. The location is incredible - breathtaking views, walking distance to amazing beaches, and a great staging area if you plan to drive around the island. Nothing like having a coffee on the balcony, watching the sunrise and seeing some whale spouts in the distance and turtles swimming in the water below. I’m ready to go back!

Amazing views

This condo was perfect for our family. And it was one of the few condos we saw that was directly on the ocean in this area of Poipu. We spent so many nights and mornings watching the waves from our balcony and we saw lots of sea turtles each day bobbing along in the ocean. We also enjoyed the beach chairs, snorkel gear, cooler, and beach towels that were provided. Amazing stay!! Highly recommend!

Hear the waves and great views

This place is right above the coastline and you hear the waves crashing as you fall asleep at night. The beds are super comfortable too. The pool has great view and the waves occasionally splash up on the deck of the pool which we thought was awesome to see and hear also. We saw turtles everyday from the balcony. The location was great with easy parking, and was within walking distance of the beach, boogie boarding and a few restaurants and shops. The sunsets were great to watch from the balcony every evening.

Fantastic Views

This has a perfect location for viewing turtles, dolphins, & whales right from your balcony. Saw them everyday of our one week stay! (March) Kitchen is well appointed. We cooked all but two meals there during our stay. The BBQ’s are nearby for grilling steaks. The Tommy Bahama chairs and beach towels are much appreciated for the short walk to the beach. Be sure to go down to the beach at sunset as the turtles come up on shore to rest for the evening. Speaking of sunsets you have great views from the balcony and also grass area by the bbq’s. I highly recommend this condo. I would definitely go back if I visit Kauai again.

Poipu beach condo

Pros: The views were incredible!! Lots of turtles to watch!! Sat on our balcony most of the time to enjoy the views. Loved the pool!! Close to Poipu beach and restaurants. Easy to get from Lihue airport. Everything provided to cook meals. We were greeted with a bottle of drinks and snacks. Cons: air conditioning in bedroom was too loud so could not run at night. The place needed a deep cleaning especially around the air conditioning units. Seating in living area was one loveseat so if you had 4 people they would have stools to sit on. Parking was VERY tight!! Not enough room to get in and out of car!! Watch for door dings.

Right on the ocean

This was a stunning location on the ocean. You cannot get any closer to the ocean as this, the constant thunder of the ocean waves, the sea turtles were oh so plentiful and fun to watch, even a pod of dolphins went by, which was such a treat. The room was beautiful. I definitely would not share this with another couple because even though there is plenty of room in the sleeping accommodations the setting area is quite small for a family of three let alone trying to get four people on that couch, which is only meant for three perhaps something rearranged not sure how you could do that besides mount the TV on the wall and put some seating underneath that, it’s a tough one. It worked out just fine but it was tight. The lanai was very beautiful with plenty of room running the length of the accommodation. We didn’t realize how big this facility was and how many rooms there were, so The pool was quite busy with lots of kids, but it was still amazing to have it right there on the ocean. The parking was pretty tight there unfortunately some of the lines weren’t well defined (some faded, some straight some sideways) so our rig got dinged in the lower lot so maybe having some better defined lines that weren’t faded might help some figure out where they’re supposed to park. We had a bigger rig, so it was tight to begin with. thank you for our wonderful stay. This facility was clean and very well cared for. We thank you for everything and letting us share your beautiful place.

Amazing vacation

This property is truly all about its location. I think it had one of the best views within the condo complex. Right on the water, we watched the sea turtles ALL THE TIME. Beautiful sunrises in the morning , the moon on the water at night and watching the turtles in between, I simply couldn’t ask for anything more. Nice kitchen, comfy beds, ocean sounds while we slept. All perfect. There is some room for improvement however. The couch is tiny and not very comfortable. It is a two bedroom after all but no way can 4 adults stay there, maybe a child or 2 but that’s it.It also would have been nice to have a tv in at least one of the bedrooms. Again, it is a two bedroom with only one television in the whole place. And sometimes it’s nice to lie in bed and watch something. Plenty of mirrors all around, no need for one on the dresser too. The thing that truly bothered us was the fact that there were renovations going on in the condo above us. Very loud renovations. And although we understand that this is a necessity it would have been nice to be given a heads up about it. And if the owner / manager wasn’t aware either then he should have addressed the issue when I emailed him about it. No one answered me. An apology and some sort of acknowledgment of the disturbance with a discount or a gift of some sort would have been greatly appreciated. All in all honestly no regrets, I would book it again if we ever return.

Beautiful location, functional property

We enjoyed our stay in this 2 bedroom condo. The space was sized perfect for my husband and I. One loveseat in living room, two loungers on patio - it fills the space so they've made it work. We utilized the kitchen a lot. Good knives! One person cooking is the right number. A/C's worked well. Nice welcome package. Bonus of filtered water pitcher and one sports bottle to decrease need for lots of plastic bottles. Lovely location to walk to the Hyatt side or Brenneke side of Poipu. Loved the pool. Photos are exactly as we experienced it. Helpful to know: 1. the pool key opens a "west gate" (accessed by the parking lot side behind building A then down toward the bluff) that makes the walk to Brenneke's much faster and safer by avoiding the double curve on the main road. 2. this condo's wifi is the free one for the complex - easy to find. I was worried as it only had 2 wifi bars and I had a video conference - but early in the morning it went smoothly without any buffering. 3. there are a lot of signs in the condo, in the guestbook, via email, via text, on the property, on the office door, and eventually on your windshield about the importance of registering your vehicle and how to do so on the weekend. However - despite all attemps to comply - we never were able to get a parking pass even though w kept getting scary window fliers until the office opened on Monday - Don't sweat it too much. Never saw anyone's vehicle booted or towed despite many cars having the lovely fliers.

We had stayed at this property in another unit in the past and had no idea we were booking in the same complex. We were overjoyed when we arrived. We will make every effort to stay here on future trips to Kauai, our favorite place in the world.

Location!Location!Location!

The condo was welcoming, and the bed was super comfy. The main reason for staying here is THE VIEW! Wow! Waves crashing, turtles just below us, whales spouting and breaching out on the water---the location is easy to get around to other parts of the island but we always were excited to get back to the lanai! Mahalo!

Refuge over Ocean

The main benefit is the striking location literally over crashing waves. You can sit on the large balcony at night and ponder eternity as the stars meet the ocean. Both bedrooms are spacious but the one shared bathroom is tiny with no space for toiletries.The pool is ok and the beaches are within walking distance. Would repeat
