After mailing 3 times to request a transfer from the ferry, I finally received a reply which said we would be met at the pier. However after arriving at a very hot Phi Phi pier our transfer could not be found. After pacing the pier several times we gave up and attempted to find the hotel ourselves. By chance we found a trolley with our hotels name on it, so waited by it. Eventually our man turned up, after having done some shopping! Not the best start. Check in was extremely brief, with no helpful information forthcoming. The room and location itself were fine. The next day we were given towels with holes in - we use better on our dog. The next day the room wasn't cleaned at all, despite reminding reception twice. The next day the cleaner left the door to the room open , and the fridge door open. Almost every night of our stay I had to go to reception to complain about something. We have been travelling for a month around Thailand, having stayed in a variety of hotels, and have not had to complain or ask for anything in any other hotel - we do not complain without very good reason. In summary, it seems that the manager does not want to be there, as he has no concept whatsoever of customer service.
