"Awesome hotel, love staying there every time we visit Texas"

"When I arrived the parking lot was full of shady people drinking by their cars. When I went up to my second floor room, there was a very strong cleaning chemical smell that gave me a headache. Then around 4:50am there was someone tapping on my room window and door. I refused to open the door but couldn’t see anyone through the peep hole or window. This persisted for about 15 mins and then stopped. When I called the front office, nobody answered. It felt like someone was trying to get me to open the door, but I wouldn’t. I had payed for 2 nights through Expedia but checked out after only 1 night. I notified the staff about my experience and the guy told me I could leave but I would have to email the property owner to see if they would refund my second night. I emailed but got no response. Overall this was a terrible experience with very unhelpful staff. I don’t recommend staying here. It also felt very unsafe."

"Misleading listing. Does not sleep 4, unless you sleep on an inflatable bed. Reeks of cheap perfume. Black flies gather around your food. "Speakeasy" in a closet with curtains. Host does not give check-in instruction until you have been sitting in front of the door for 1 hour. Got a refund from VRBO because they quickly figured out how much of a scam this place was. And the host ask you to give a 5-star review! What a joke. "

"Clean hotel and great staff, except they never answered the phone the 8 times called, and the ac heating didn't work in the freezing room. Also the water was freezing and never heated up. They will be on the phone immediately to charge you for a late departure though"
