"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well maintained, and the facilities throughout the hotel were exceptionally clean. What made our stay even more enjoyable was the friendly and welcoming staff, who helped create such a pleasant atmosphere.
