"We stayed for a couple of nights for a family getaway. The hotel was really nice, well maintained and needs we're comfy. Breakfast was good. The pool was a little smaller than expected and not very warm, but our 2 year old loved it"

"If you want to drive around Scotland it is the perfect place to stay, every major city is with 2 hours drive. The town itself is beautiful. The hotel is great for travellers who want a bit of pampering but also want to be out and about. The pool after a long hike is perfect. The breakfast will certainly set you up for the day as there is a very large selection including vegan foods."

"Lovely hotel would highly recommend. We had a huge room with two showers as we were given a free upgrade. Beautiful dinne that night in the hotel and terrific breakfast, huge choice of sweet and savoury items. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return "

"Hosts were very friendly and attentive, providing a great welcome and suggestions for dinner in the evening, as well as a recommendation of an activity to do the next day after we checked out. Bathroom was private for our room, though not connected to the room itself. The bathroom was very nice. Our room also had a sink in the bedroom itself. Bed was a bit soft - the mattress was not the most comfortable, but overall, no issue. We very much enjoyed our stay, and if we stay in the area again would certainly consider the Avondale House again!"
