"the place is an island on it's own and looks like a James Bond villain base from the outside. Inside it's got so many baths and just cool areas to explore. The room itself is comfortable and there's even a little convenience store near the front desk so you can get room snacks easily. I picked up some of the pickled plum udon noodles to cook at home and they were delicious! Meals are a little crowded as they're buffet style but the food itself is amazing and so many different things to try. I recommend coming here at least once and staying two nights if you can."

Room was comfortable and had a lovely view of the bay. Bonus: separate toilet and bath/shower setup, which was convenient."

"Very friendly staff with amazing view and Onsen. No free pick up from bus stop, we were charged 5000 yen. Double the price for two person occupancy. If you don’t mind the extreme price, it’s a very relaxing stay"

"I am so happy I found Hotel New Palace. The rooms are clean and large, staff is gracious, breakfast is really good. The onsen is a bonus. So nice for a relaxing soak every evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here in the future if I return to Shingu. "
