I had stayed here before as it was quiet, away from town right on the beach and because I loved the vibe of the bungalow and grounds.

The place was nice and beautiful. Bungalows were very cute, clean and near by the sea. Only think that make little minus is the noise around: pigs, roosters, geccos. But thats probaply the same everywere you go and stay in Bungalows. The owner wants to "one for all" which means you pay all the food and other sevices when leaving the place. The Best thing was the location - in front of the sea and No other hotels/Bungalows nearby. So you kind of had own beach and the reef with its marvelous life. The service was good and warm by the owner and his family members.

Well managed small hotel - just what I needed

Cozy and spacious private bungalow/unit for each room. Nyoman was very kind and fast to deal with inquiries. Breakfast was lovely and pool was well managed. Located a bit away from busy noises of Amed, suitable for solo or a couple looking for quite place to rest. A/C and the friedge worked well and housekeeping was done upon request. Sheets and towels were also clean. Would want to stay here again when I come back. Thanks

The hotel has no reception, just a few younglings hanging around the "restaurant". Breakfast was very weak with a few choices of egg and toast. They did not know what marmelade is. The hotel is located far from just about everything and the beach is not suited for swimming. Would definitely not recommend.

Das Bungalow war direkt an einer Mauer. Beim Nachbargrundstück wurde täglich Plastikmüll verbrannt, der Rauch ist direkt zum Hotel gezogen. Das Frühstück war lecker. Die Zimmertür konnte man nicht richtig verschließen. Es war ein großer Spalt in der Tür.

Chill hotel on beach good for snorkelling

Nice location close to Jemeluk Bay for snorkelling. Hotel right on the beach. The staff is very relaxed and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Room had AC, which was important as it was very hot. Bathroom was dirty and strange, like a locker-room shower with toilet next to small wall inside the area. Everything got wet inside the bathroom. Awkward set up. Old furniture. Mosquitos inside room. We had to install our own mosquito net. Room not properly sealed, so mosquitos came through cracks. Good parking for car and motorbikes.

I loved this place. Good, cheap digs on Amed Beach with wonderful bungalows and good cooking at the small restaurant. Have the locally distilled liquor Arak and relax here a couple of days!

True peace and tranquility

We stayed three days. Loved out time here. No motobikes etc within earshot - just the ocean! (And no morning wakeups from roosters!!) Standalone bungalows, all with their own balcony and lovely carved doors. Hot showers with great water pressure. Friendly young staff from the local villages who are well supported by a great boss. Sunrise is spectacular from the shoreside pool, and even better on the catamaran ride which lets you see the volcanoes as backdrop. Food and cocktails are very good. Easy access to the other beaches and bars in town, by foot on the beach or road, or by moto.

Une nuit décevante

Après lecture des nombreux commentaires élogieux sur l'hôtel, nous avons décidé avec ma femme de réserver une nuit dans cet établissement dans le cadre de notre circuit sur Bali. La deception fut grande ! Le cadre de l'hôtel est agréable : vue sur mer, piscine propre et agréable. Le vrai point noir de notre sejour a été le personnel : cela fait plusieurs jours que nous parcourons bali et c'est dans cet etablissement que nous avons rencontrés le personnel le plus désagréable qui soit. Il est vrai que le personnel parle tres peu anglais, mais soit, le manque de professionalisme, de politesse et d'hygiène ont gâché notre expérience a Amed. En conclusion, je déconseille cet hotel pour ceux qui cherchent une escapade avec du charme et de la féerie comme peut procurer l'île dans son ensemble.

Roligt og afslappende sted med lækker swimmingpool

Jeg ankom til Coral Bay og fik straks min bungalow, selvom jeg kom tidligt. Der var rent på værelse og badeværelse, men det første jeg opdagede og som jeg ellers prøver at gå udenom når jeg booker er åbne lofter. Jeg fik pakket lidt ud men efter 10 min var der en kæmpe edderkop (10cm) i loftet på badeværelset, jeg gik en lille tur for at mærke efter hvad jeg skulle gøre og da jeg kom tilbage var den på gulvet lige ved toilettet. Jeg panikkede helt vildt og der viste personalet karakter. De viste mig tre andre værelser, da de vidst ikke helt forstod jeg gerne ville have et værelse med flade lofter og ingen huller ud til. Jeg fik et rigtig fint værelse og var der i 5 nætter, som jeg havde planlagt. Coral Bay ligger smukt ned til vandet og har en fin swimmingpool hvis man er til den slags. Der er stille på grunden og man får en meget simpel morgenmad. Personalet er søde men er ikke vildt gode til engelsk. Brug stedet til afslapning, det er nogle skønne omgivelser de har.

Atmosphere was relaxing, bungalows are located by the sea and they are about 100m away from the road so the traffic noise doesn´t bother. Our bungalow (nr. 1) was the closest one to the beach. It was awesome to listen sound of the waves when going to sleep/waking up. Also it was nice that basic snorkeling could be done without traveling anywhere. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Closest one that we tried was at the same beach as the hotel (~300 meters). In half way to Amed Beach is Sunsetpoint (~400m) where the views were great. And of course down at the Amed Beach (~1km) was plenty of restaurants.

Beautiful cozy place with great location!

A hidden gem with great location! Close to most things but also well hidden just behind the tip of Jemeluk Bay which gives the place a very private atmosphere. We had nothing but great service and it seemed that whatever request you might have, be it day trips to here and there or booking tours or tickets or airport transfer, the manager and his staff would sort it all out for you. The food in the hotels own little restaurant was among the best we had on our two week trip to Bali. The restaurant may not look much but the food was great tasting and spiced to your liking. We were also very happily surprised by the drinks; a lot of places around only offer drinks with arak (local spirit) but Coral Bay Bungalows has a good range of the typical drinks and they're were excellently mixed and very tasty and refreshing. The staff kept a perfect balance of leaving you alone on your vacation and being around with a quick response to your requests which is the key to a relaxed feeling among everyone. We did some snorkeling right off the beach and fifty meters out there's some nice spots. If you go around the tip to the eastern end of Jemeluk Bay, there's even more to see under the water. The only things that we found could be better was the stability of the wi-fi, which seemed a bit moody and that the beach was cleaned, perhaps daily, from debris that doesn't belong there. All in all, very happy that we found and booked Coral Bay Bungalows!

Super Godt hotel til prisen

Meget hyggeligt og fredeligt beliggende hotel lige ud til super snorkel sted. Et sted der egner sig til par der ønsker at slappe af og nyde udsigten. Vi så delfiner 50 M fra restauranten. Hotelmaneger var meget hjælpsom og behagelig. Et fantastisk sted i forhold til prisen. God mad til billig penge. Vi havde 2 dage på denne lille oase - kunne godt bruge 2 dage mere. Vi fik super massage til billig penge. Kan også anbefales

Toms bali trip 2017

New owner has only been running this accommodation for 4 months and is slowly fixing the cottages up. He is installing new internal roofing so the Airconditioning works better and repairing faults his guests find almost straight away. The new owner is very accommodating. Great place to relax, need a bike to find food. Have a great breakfast selection...............
