It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. convenient location

The lady on the front desk is so welcoming. The restaurant and bar staff are eager to attend to your needs, however, the sheets in the bedroom are very very old and stained. I had to request new sheets but they looked the same. The bed runner and decor cushions were absolutely filthy. I took them off the bed immediately and didn't sleep well at all as even with a change of sheets the bed didn't feel clean. The bath mat was gray with filth. I wS sjocked to see housekerping thought this wS acceptable. The shower was good, hot water and powerful.

När jag kom dit på eftermiddagen. Dök jag upp som en överraskning. Först när jag visar betald och bekräftad bokning blir jag accepterad som gäst. Det tar 36 timmar innan hotellet får rätt på rumsbokningen. Jag har betalt för frukost. Hotellet säger att så inte är fallet. Jag får därmed ej betald frukost om jag inte betalar en gång till!? Hotellet ligger ut mot en mkt hårt trafikerad gata. Dörren ut mot balkong och gata är av glas. Har centimeterbreda springor. Detta medför att ljudvolymen är hög och sovkomforten låg. Vidare kan tilläggas att hotellet ännu inte är färdigbyggt. Hissen är inte på plats. Däremot är dörrhålet där. Du kan alltså gå rätt in i hisschaktet och trilla rakt ner från femte våningen. I Europa hade du inte fått öppna under de omständigheter som råder här. Trapporna var ett provisorium och nödutgångar såg jag inga. Det finns många hotell att välja mellan i Kandy. Mitt förslag är att ni väljer ett annat.
