  • Sri Dalada Maligawa, also known as Temple of the Buddha Tooth in English, is a UNESCO heritage site, and a popular place to visit for newly weds. It was awfully packed over the full moon weekend (would not recommend visiting during this period)! This pavilion-like structure at the front Paththirippuwa, or Octagon. It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. My room was spacious clean and modern. It was very safe and quiet. Breakfast was provided and was excellent. It is located 15 minute walk up steep road from city centre. Easy walking down and cheap uber tuk tuk ride back up the hill after leaving city center. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Kandy.

Very good property for the price. Host was very nice. Good breakfast. Very convenient location. Internet could have been better. One more thing, please get that water spray bidet near toilet checked. The pressure in it can create a new hole 😁😁

Dejligt hotel, centralt og sød ejer

Super sød ejer af hotellet. Jeg tog 1 overnatning her, da jeg skulle tidligt afsted dagen efter for at tage toget til Nanu Oya. Ejeren tilbød at jeg kunne få min morgenmad meget tidligt inden afrejse. I øvrigt en stor og lækker morgenmad. Rent og rummeligt værelse med balkon og udsigt til bjerge. Jeg kommer tilbage næste gang jeg rejser til Kandy
