One of the most beautiful places I've been hiking. You can spend a day here hiking along the Azusa River, or spend several days climbing the many peaks.
Kamikochi, a gate way to Japanese Alps, where high mountain lines continuously in central Japan. An English, Walter Weston had introduced it in 1881. Personal vehicles are not allowed to enter this area and bus is available from Tokyo or Maraumoto, Nagano.
