"If we had known about this hotel earlier, we would have made it our main base in Kyoto. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to both bus and train lines, and plenty of dining options in the surrounding area. The hotel itself is excellent and clearly very popular. The onsen is superb—spanning multiple floors—and the property offers a number of thoughtful extras, including complimentary ramen from 9 to 11 p.m., which was a fun and welcome touch. Overall, we were truly glad to have stayed here. It’s a fantastic, well-located hotel that makes exploring Kyoto effortless."

"First time at a Ryokan. Wonderful experience from when we first arrived until we left. Room was beautiful and private onsen was luxurious, we spent a lot of time there! 100% get the Breakfast and dinner package, it was such a unique experience with lovely traditional meals and it was very large portion for 2 people. They also provided a lot of free amenities that we could take home with us including photographs and a traditional pouch/bag. i would definitely recommend this Ryokan to anyone planning to visit Nara."
