Excellent Location and Well Stocked

Property is in a perfect location to access all Kona has to offer. Listing is completely as advertised and very comfortably stocked. Really appreciate our time in this condo.

Great location and great management

The condo is great! I will definitely be coming back to this location. Well stocked and comfortable beds. Location is perfect for walking the tourist area and central for driving to tourist destinations

We had a leak (downstairs bedroom) in the cupboard after heavy rain showers. It did not reappear or happen with the Air Con on.The two sliding doors (upstairs bedroom) and lounge door to balcony could not be secured. CJK manager fixed one of the upstairs doors but not the others.The Air Con control in the upstairs bedroom was very difficult to operate due to either batteries or faulty on/off switch. The rooms were clean as was the lounge and kitchen. We washed the towels and hopefully left the kitchen as clean as we found it. We only had breakfast there each day.

Kona Retreat

We had a great time staying at this lovely property. It is nicely decorated, has a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of beach towels and a boogie board that we made use of. We especially liked having the upstairs suite and a laundry and having breakfast on the balcony with the lovely ocean view.

Beautiful ocean views

We really enjoyed this property--especially having not one but two different decks to lounge around on. Every morning we would have our breakfast on the lower-level deck and gaze out at the goings-on in the bay--kayakers, competitive swimmers, tour boats. We would definitely stay here again.

Kona Home

Our family trip to the big island was awesome with this wonderful property as our home base. Very spacious and clean with an excellent location allowing you to walk the beachfront with numerous shops and restaurants close by. Would definitely recommend!

Great spot

Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped with everything you need. The upstairs sundeck is a real standout feature offering a view over the town, the ocean, and the mountain.

Great Location

Ideal place to stay to explore downtown Kona. Close to all amenities which was perfect for lounging around Kona. The ocean view was good from the lower balcony whilst the upper one was quite hot since being a penthouse unit. Overall enjoyed the stay and would stay there again if visiting the area. Felt safe walking anywhere around the area.

Rest and relaxation with a beautiful view.

Clean & tidy. 2 bedroom and 2.5 bath. 1 bedroom downstairs with 3/4 bath ensuite. 1 bedroom upstairs with 1/2 bath ensuite 1: 3/4 bath with washer/ dryer. Beautiful ocean view from living room lanai. Mountain view from upstairs lanai. Have a fun relaxing time.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay Kona Alii. This condo has everything you could want and need. Location of the facility is right on the Main Street, but this condo is set back enough and on the 7th floor so you don’t hear any noise. The lanai had a great view of the ocean where we would sit out every morning and enjoy our coffee.

We have been visiting Kona for 48 years, much has changed but for us the special Kona stuff remains unchanged! This unit was clearly very well cared for and big enough to provided a little space for 3 people. The views of the ocean and mountains were exceptional. Very quiet day and night! A 5 minute walk to the north or south brought us to our favorite waterholes and eateries. The trolley gave us access to several food markets and shops of all types. We will most definitely stay at Penthouse across from the Ocean again!

Great in every way!

I thoroughly enjoyed this property, it's even better in person than the pictures. Very clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable beds and living room. All communications were clear and prompt. Loved the amazing view from the main floor deck, spent lots of time there in the mornings and evening. A wonderful surprise was being able to hear the ocean waves at night from both bedrooms. Super convenient location, an easy walk to lots of restaurants, and great deals at the Farmers Market. Loved that this unit is on the top floor, and the property is access-controlled. Highly recommend!

Great condo in perfect location

This is easily the best place we’ve ever stayed in Kona(our 7th trip). The location is dead center in Kailua-Kona and easy walking distance to loads of restaurants and activities. The condo itself has so many excellent qualities. Private covered parking(Jeep was always cool when we got to it). Condo is totally updated with nice furniture and lighting. 2 showers in the 3 bathrooms is great. Everyone can get ready at the same time. Full fully stocked kitchen is nice. The AC splits (something we’ve never used) kept the unit appropriately cooled. New washer dryer made it easier to pack less for a long trip. 2 outside patios, both with a side view of the ocean were nicely furnished. Property manager was super responsive when we had questions. This is seriously a 11 out of 10 stay. We’ve already booked next year! Mahalo!!

VRBO Disappointment

1) Breach of contract; no available washer dryer for our stay as cited in listing. This was a primary reason for selecting this property along with cleanliness. 2) Sliding Door Wall left open allowing geckos in the unit. 3) Sliding Doors had no locking mechanism and could allow entry via balcony access. 4) Multiple cockroach sightings 5) General cleanliness okay 6) Location excellent – great location in Kona 7) Property Manager, minimal assistance with placating attitude (e.g. day of arrival sent process to access property & when called implied sent much earlier, $25 gift card from Target for no washer, ridiculous for a property we paid a significant premium for, when informed sliders didn’t lock she pointed out we where on a higher floor…)
