"Staff were really excellent - super helpful. Location was a bit outside of the main city centre but the hotel runs free shuttles to/from the city centre on an hourly bases. There is car parking available for a fee. Hotel and room looks a bit dated but has a great view of Sakurajima. Onsen is smaller than what can be seen in the pictures - view of Sakurajima from the bath is unfortunately blocked for privacy reasons. "

"On the top floor of the hotel has a large public bath split into men's and women's sides. You go in there naked and shower before sitting in a giant hot tub. It's amazing.... The hotel also has an incredible breakfast. Make sure that you pay in advance the day before and make a reservation for the next day. It'll blow your mind. It's so good.
