"Beautiful house with all the amenities, especially a great kitchen and bed room. Close to town of Volcano and the National Park. Beautiful secluded yard surround the house."
"My stay at the Volcano Forest Inn exceeded expectations. It was the perfect setting and quite the adventure driving in the light rain a few hundred yards down a dirt road surrounded by thick trees to finally arrive at this beautiful Inn nestled in the Volcano Forest. Jon texted very detailed instructions and information prior to my arrival which was very useful as well as welcoming. If I texted a question, he would promptly respond. Jon was there to greet me as I drove up and was very friendly and helpful. He showed me all of the amenities: an accommodating kitchen full of kitchenware, plenty of snacks, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, pasties, etc.; the living room with a flatscreen TV showing a live stream of the volcano; my room which was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Although all of the rooms were occupied, it was always quiet and peaceful. Not once did I encounter another guest while using the kitchen to get coffee and breakfast during my entire stay. It truly felt like I had the whole place to myself. Volcanoes National Park was minutes away and the close location made it very convenient for me to access the Park whenever the lava was flowing. I will stay at this beautiful, and serene Inn every time I visit the Big Island from south Maui. I was looking for peace and solitude and found it at the Volcano Forest Inn. Unforgettable experience!"
"A Perfect Getaway
Our stay at Volcano Village Estates was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff were exceptionally courteous, welcoming us with genuine warmth and making sure every detail of our stay was just right. The property itself is quiet, peaceful, and homey, surrounded by the lush beauty of the Volcano area — a true escape from the noise of everyday life.
Breakfast was a highlight in the morning — the banana pancakes were simply amazing, and the fresh local fruit made it even better. We also enjoyed a bottle of the Volcano Pinot Noir, which was spectacular and paired beautifully with the relaxing ambiance.
After a day of exploring the park, the hot tub was pure bliss — clean, private, and the perfect way to unwind under the stars. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully designed and perfectly executed.
In short: everything was perfect. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in Volcano.

"I enjoyed my stay here. The place is one of a kind and each room is unique. I was reluctant at first because of the shared bathroom, but I never had issues when I needed to use it. There is also an additional bathroom outside that I didn’t read about or see until my last night. The outdoor hot tub and shower were all placed uniquely in the back of the property amongst nature. The location is super remote and takes some patience trying to find, but you stay here for that reason — off the beaten path. The grounds indoors and out were well maintained. The artwork at the entrance and books inside are provocative and edgy which matches the vibe of the place. The kitchen, dining area, living room and patio were spacious enough for those who want to be alone. Locks are provided on every room door for security. There is a house cat that lurked around. Not a fan, an allergic, but that was minor compared to the beauty of the place. Complimentary snacks are provided in the room, however some water in the kitchen for guests would have been good. Highly recommend "
Tropical 1-bedroom cabin. Five minute drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was wonderful and cozy! It was very private and feel like you have the island to yourself. It was close to Volcano national National park which is something we were looking for when finding a place to stay. The host was so kind and communicative."
