"The host Kevin is super Kevin’s place is fabulous and he and his manager Theresa were wonderfully communicative and helpful. I was the first guest and they were working to make sure everything was just right, and it was. It is a lovely spot with a great view and sea breezes. The house is very comfortable. The kitchen is excellent. The shower is great. Parking is above the house (steps lead down to the house) along the local back road and very easy by St John standards. I am a long time visitor and loved the house, location, and proximity to Coral Bay. You will want a jeep or similar to get around. Coral Bay offers a small grocery store and restaurants and a few shops and it is a great location for heading out to all the different beaches. I hope to return!"

"Calichi Point has been on my places to stay for many years and we finally decided to book our trip to St. John and our stay. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend staying here! The drive up (and down) is on some very windy roads but the view is breathtaking and the privacy can't be beat! With 75% of the island being a National Park, we took advantage of some hiking that led us to some pretty amazing beaches!! Dining is quite limited so plan to stock up on groceries and enjoy eating on your patio each day! We packed lunches on the days we hiked. We also enjoyed a couple massage on our balcony one afternoon which I highly recommend...the breeze and nature can't be beat! Our trip to St. John and especially our stay at Calichi Point met and exceeded all of our expectations! We will be back!! Our host was great with communicating with us prior to our arrival and were available for any questions we may have had. "

"Loved the House, Loved the View, Loved the Vibe!! House provided all our needs… despite a few critiques, it was a fabulous stay and experience on the island! 2 misleading items were a kayak listed onsite and snorkeling from the house. Maybe at one time there was a kayak? But i asked our greeter and she confirmed we could rent one- definitely not a deal breaker just disappointed. Secondly, i personally entered the ocean from onsite and tho its definitely approachable its full of tall grass in this particular cove which is misleading from the pics; its possible someone started picking out the grass in front of the property which was kind but the bottom is so marshy it definitely wasn’t desirable to our families. But definitely enjoyed the great view and we had nice breezy weather which helped keep mosquitoes at bay. The deck is amazing, the outdoor bed so dreamy, and pool was used daily for dips and it surprisingly stayed soo cool which was refreshing! The volleyball net needs to be replaced so we didn’t want to be responsible for breaking it. Though there was a fancy coffee maker onsite, we followed instructions and couldn’t make it work, just blinked. But we were happy just to have the drip maker. Our King size sheets didn’t fit either of the King beds… constantly had to remake the beds daily. But beds were very comfortable and A\C was amazing and sufficient storage for our clothes. We couldn’t close the gate; so 3 donkeys entered 2 our surprise! so cute! "

"Outstanding experience staying at Horizon's Edge. It's obvious from the beginning that the owners and property manager take pride in ensuring their guests have the best experience. The communications were among the best we've experienced in our long history of renting vacation properties. The responsiveness whether it be for packing tips, travel recommendations, questions during the stay, or checking out was consistently fast and excellent. The property itself is outstanding and the pictures provided in the description do not do it justice. It had everything we needed and more. We had been to St. John before and were concerned the property might be a little too remote. In actuality, we had a far better experience on the island from this location than we did closer to Cruz Bay. You get a wonderfully maintained property that has spectacular views, quiet privacy to enjoy your surroundings while having better access to beaches including those on the East End. We will definitely be looking for the availability of this property for our next visit to the island."
