The property is in the process of being renovated which we were not made aware of until just before checkin. We had paid for the room in advance and were relegated to a new room in a part of the building still under construction where the view was of the construction site, scaffolding etc. We chose this hotel and Jasper because we wanted to enjoy the Rocky Mountain scenery not viewa construction site.

Lot of construction going on. Elevator is near the lobby and rooms are spread out. If you take elevator, it was a long walk, so end up taking stairs. Stairs were steep for the 2nd floor rooms. Rooms were renovated. Beds/Mattresses were comfortable. Towels and toiletries were good quality. To use the pools and other amenities you have to go to their other hotel. Renovation and amenities for using at other hotel was not mentioned by Expedia at the time of booking. Received email about this from hotel only after making the booking.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel has a convenient location, the room was comfortable and well-equipped, and the breakfast service was good. However, there was one incident where a very strong and irritating odor filled the hallway. It caused discomfort for many guests, with several people coughing continuously and experiencing irritation in their noses and throats. Fortunately, the situation improved after the staff used the ventilation system and opened the windows to air out the hallway. Apart from this issue, our overall experience was positive, and we appreciate the efforts of the hotel staff.

The hotel is completely unfinished. Many areas are still under construction. Why can't they wait until it's fully completed before opening? At night, there's a construction site right outside my window, and the lights are still on, making it very bright. It's expensive and doesn't include breakfast, so it's very poor value for money.
