Just because it’s isolated doesn’t mean Jasper is quiet. This place is bursting with life.

The town of Jasper, in Jasper National Park, is remote and it’s wild, and that’s the best thing about it. Try winter activities such as dog sledding and sleigh riding, or view it all from above in a gondola. Visit in autumn or spring to see the best of the resident wildlife – give your camera a workout, but don’t forget to step away from the lens and take it all in. Finish the day with a locally brewed beer, which is usually made with water sourced from the Rockies themselves. Cheers, Jasper!

We came to Jasper after staying in Canmore and spending time in Banff. We really liked the laidback less touristy feel of Jasper. There were great cafes & restaurants too.

Accomodation is expensive without getting money for value but Jasper itself is a great place to visit.
