"The Livingstone is a really nice place to stay. It is a 2 minute walk from Jan Thiel and Papgayo beaches which are beautiful. You can snorkel right there and see all sorts of amazing fish. The water is crystal clear. We stayed in a standard two bedroom villa. It comes with a parking spot if you rent a vehicle. There is a supermarket that is a 1 min walk away that has most things you need. The villa was very clean, really cute! Beautiful gardens and palm trees surrounding. The pool in the main building is enjoyable. The staff are kind, but the responsive through Expedia is lacking. They send automated messages and if you respond in the Expedia application, it is hit or miss if you will get a response. If you are planning on doing your own cooking there, there have most things you need. Pack your own French press though for coffee. We checked with the front desk and they didn’t have anything for making coffee. Also pack your own Tupperware and seasonings. The location is to the south of Willemstad so if you want to travel to the beautiful beaches to the north like playa piskado, it is a solid 60 minute drive. About a 30 minute drive to downtown Willemstad. They do not have a functioning gym on site despite what the wedpage says. It is under renovation (what I was told). The gym (the challenger) is available & 1 min away, it cost about 100 cg for one week pass. The gym is also busy and also only has two Olympic bars. It is mostly technogym machines. It will do, but not the best."

"We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Goudhaen Luxury apartments. The owners and gracious hosts, Colin and Melissa, made us feel welcome even before checking in as they were very communicative. We loved the location in Jan Thiel and felt totally safe there. Our apartment had the conveniences of home with a well equipped kitchen, and thoughtful amenities for exploring the island. If we ever have the opportunity to travel back to Curacao, we would definitely stay at Goudhaen again. "

"The house is amazing for a large group. Nice pool and everyone has their own bathroom right in their bedroom. It is in a residential neighborhood so you have to be very quiet. The beach that is walkable is very very small. The bars and restaurants walkable are great and the grocery store is convenient but pricey. We spent three of our seven days at Lions Dive so definitely check that out! BE AWARE on this house we had 8 people for 7 nights and ended up with a hefty electric bill. We all planned on using the laundry available but our clothes would not dry. Overall great property just wish I would’ve known these minor details."

"BEST PLACE WE'VE EVER STAYED!! Loeki was the most incredible hostess at this beautiful bed and breakfast. She thinks of every 5 star detail from mint water in the refrigerator to making the most delicious breakfasts including cappuccinos or hot herbal teas, fruit smoothies, delicious pancakes, french toast, omelettes, fresh delicious fruit breads, yogurt bowls with granola, and fresh fruit. Every breakfast was not only healthy abut also most generous in portion size. We skipped eating lunch most days and we'd just eat dinner. Loeki helped us plan our daily schedules with great suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The grounds are gorgeous and our Red Cottage was even better than expected. Loeki connected us with someone to transport us to and from the airport and rented us an electric car for close trips and a gas car if we were going farther. She made everything simple and hassle free. There was no rush to check out at a certain time and we left feeling like we had a new family member in her. I loved that we could walk to the saltpans with the owner's two dogs and see the flamingos. There was a wonderful pool on the property AND the red cottage that we stayed in also had a pool. Why stay at a resort with a hundred other people when you can stay at an intimate bread and breakfast with only a few others! It was a fantastic trip and we can't wait to visit again! "This is a nice, clean villa in a good, safe location. It is a short walk to Jan Thiel Beach area with beach, shops, restaurants and grocery. While usable, the appliances in the villa need replacement. The racks in the upstairs apartment size refrigerator were all rusted. The downstairs refrigerator is a larger side by side but every door bin is missing so the refrigerator got filled up pretty quickly. The clothes washer was tiny and literally took about 3 hours to do a small load. We had to wash our beach towels everyday because each person was only given one beach towel. We could fit 4 towels in the machine. There is no dryer but we could dry towels on the line before the next load was done washing. The outdoor area is the star of the show. The palapa is wonderful and the covered patio was no doubt the most used area of the home. Unfortunately the decking around the pool is showing its age with some severe weathering and rusty screws. We worried about splinters in our feet so we wore flip flops around the pool. The decking does not look like the online photos. The very large resident iguana visits several times a day and we had to keep cleaning up the feces around the pool.There is no air conditioning in the main part of the villa. The kitchen and dining area get extremely hot. Each bedroom has its own A/C. The upstairs railing is low, very rusted and a safety hazard. This is a nice villa but not a “luxury” or “first class” villa as advertised. "

"We stayed one night and found everything very comfortable and cute. Close to tugboat beach for a quick snorkeling visit. Lots of amenities at the property and the pool was lovely. "
