Reading a book on the screened in porch with a cup of coffee was my favorite part. It is a quiet place in the woods but close to many small and quaint towns to visit in Vermont. "The house was a very cute ski cabin-y feeling vacation spot with a gorgeous view of the reservoir. Location was great- not too far from the center of Wilmington. And a drive through the mountains/National Forest away from the other cities/tourist areas near Bennington. It snowed while we were staying and the owners stayed on top of plowing so we could drive in and out - they weren't kidding about needing 4WD to get in and out in the winter. Overall, we'd come back in a heartbeat"

"WOW! When we arrived we were immediately taken back by the incredible setting of this log home. The owner makes it very easy for arrival, with lots of notes and information about the home and the area. It was nice to sit and read the lovely notes that previous guests had left for them.
