"Clean room and typical of a hotel in regional Japan. Views were lovely, especially on ground floor and in the restaurant. I took advantage of the onsen and sauna. Free coffee, tea, beer and soft drinks on ground floor. They offer have a shuttle bus service to / from the station but limited hours. Otherwise it’s a 15 minute walk so if you have heavy luggage, would not recommend. 7/11 and MacDonalds are close by."

"Beautiful traditional tatami hotel. You pay a huge premium for staying on Miyajima and it’s worth every penny. Lovely staff. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but found several lovely places nearby. "

"Perfectly located across the road from the Ferry (no issue with noise). Nice sized rooms, perhaps in need of a little refresh (room door did not seal very well, large gaps around the edge and bottom which meant could hear corridor noise). Buffet style dinner and breakfast was amazing, so tasty & such a good variety. Really enjoyed that the ingredients were locally sourced. Would absolutely stay here again! "

"I totally love this hotel. The view was breathtaking. The dinner was a traditional Japanese dinner wich was quiet an experience. The onsen was amazing (private). The ride in the boat at night to see the Tori gate was really nice. Plus they have a shuttle to and from the train station. "

"What a treat! We stayed in a room with a view of the water and private onsen. It was so nice we don’t want to explore the island…and a great way to relax after a hike to the summit. Would absolutely recommend! "

"You cannot beat the location, as it is right on the main drag and across from the water, and close to the ferry. It’s also close to shops and restaurants. The staff is very helpful, as I had misplaced an item and they were able to hold it for me. The onsen in the basement is great. The tatami mats in the room are fine, and the futons are also comfortable. The bathroom is a bit outdated, but everything works."

"There was the train track right front of this apartment. And it works 24hours. Every 20min trains pass by in middle of night. We couldn’t sleep. "

"The room was not clean- I had found a pair of boxers under the bed The beds looked like they had been slept in by someone else. There was hair in the beds and the sheets were not clean. There was no one there to let us in- the door was unlocked and it wasn't until a long wait period I knocked on a door and someone came to show us our room. He was nice, but other than that, the experience was awful. The kitchen/shared space was quite disgusting. The bathrooms had bugs in the sink There was no breakfast, but the fridge did have the "welcome drink". Even giving one star is being generous. I left as soon as I could as I wanted to get out of their fast. "
