Amazing staff and special appreciation for Gizem hanim and Oguzhan at Reception for attentiveness and great customer service. Home away from home with amazing exoerience

It was an amazing wxoerience throughout my stay for a week. An excellent view overlooking the sea, comfort in superb furnishled room with amenities, beautiful SPA with all facilities you can imagine, breakfast was faboulous, food in the Bar as well as Marama Batik restaurant are rated as five star. The location is perfect for our business connection as well as a pleasure to walk by the beach. This is one of the best horel we have ever stayed.

In Renaissance first the staff are very kind and the hotel itself is amazing specially breakfast and the swimming pool were my favourite. There was only a small problem surprisingly with cleaning like bathrooms floor there wasn't hoovered at all in time of my stay!

Breakfast Rip off

The hotel takes a deposit but gives no receipt. The price for breakfast was not told even after asking but after the breakfast they charged us $100 for 2 persons which was a rip off. The next day we were with an escorted tour at the same hotel & the breakfast was free for all tour members & travelling driver & tour manager. I should be reimbursed for the expensive breakfast at least partially.

Overall, positive experience

We had a garden room initially, but the walls were very thin and not sound proof, so we asked to be moved into the hotel and it was far nicer, modern, sound proof and clean. The staff were very helpful moving us. The car parking was a bit frustrating - we were told that the car parking would be included in the bill when we checked out, but when we drove to leave, we were told it hadn’t been paid - seemed to be a lack of communication more than anything. Breakfast was good - loads of variety and good quality. Gym was good, equipment advanced for a hotel gym, as was the pool, steam room and sauna.

Very Overpriced add ons like food etc.

What was good, staff are excellent, location is nice, outdoor pool area is spacious with plenty of beds. Cost of the room was good. Not so good. Noise from discos very loud in our room on floor 14 and ruined both Saturday and Sunday nights sleep. You can also hear the lift alert from many floors as it arrives due to open middle balcony section and poor sound proofing in the rooms, it’s a constant chiming. The mattress was sagging and hurt both our backs, pillows either too soft or too hard. The worst thing though is the price of everything. For example, shop price of an efes beer is around 80tl bar price is 500tl 2nd Best rated massage based on t advisor and hamman in Istanbul was €65 each for couple to have 75 minute full body, face mask, hamam massage, foam and scrub. Hotel price for this (with 50 min massage and no face mask) would be €220 each. The facilities are generally good but need repair, hot tubs don’t really work any more and are thick with dirt near the top. Bowl of cold fries is €10 and always there is an extra 13% service charge on top of the crazy prices. So it’s a good room rate but expect to pay back the savings if you buy anything during your stay.

A genuine feel of home away from home. I can not say enough about the wonderful experience of comfort, friendliness, exceptional staff Polat Renaissance has. Special thanks to Volkan, Ilker and Serdar for welcoming our family every time we arrive at the door as if it is our first. Always smiling and cheerful no matter how heavy or quantity of luggage we have. Serdar is always ready to give a helping hand in every matter: always inquires and offers assistance. This gives my family and I a feeling of belonging and support always. A special thanks to Yunus for paying close attention to ensure my family and I have a special breakfast experience every day. His attention to detail and his customer service go beyond the sense of duty. He actually makes us feel like we are part of his family visiting his home. It is a remarkable trait for a person who leads yet has time to make the guests happy. He not only guides the staff, he actually works alongside them to make sure everything is perfect, no matter how busy, he always take a moment to ensure the guests needs are met. Special mention to Hassim for his attention and customer service. He always is very friendly and asks if anything is needed to ensure satisfaction . Cihan at Reception is always very wonderful and always ready to help.. special thanks to Oguzhan at reception for always making our check in process as efficient and as smooth as possible His exceptional customer service is worth recognition.
