Good hotel close to Kumpaki

This hotel is in the Old City centre, very close to Kumpazi and 15 walking to the Grand Bazaar. The staff is very friendly and helpful The breakfast is also good. Once in a while problem with elevator. Note: they just need to more more attentive with cleaning the bathroom.

The location was great, trainstation is right next to it. Also a nice walking path by the sea across the street. Peaceful roof top with a great view. Room for one was very tiny, but if you dont plan to stay in your hotel,this is a wonderful choice. Everything worked well on tbe room, air-conditioning, hot water, it was clean and tidy. The hotel suits well for even a solo female traveller.

Motorbike trip

Stayed for two nights while motorbiking from Scotland to Antalya. Room was perfectly fine for me. Staff were fantastic and really helped me with advice knowledge and getting SIM card for phone.

The hotel is very enough for 2-3 days stay in Istanbul. We had a wonderful sea view from the terracce of the hotel every day. All facilities of the hotel were working properly. WIFI was fast enough. I would like to emphasize that all the staff I met were extremely friendly and helpful. In the evenings, you can take a walk by the seaside or watch the sea from the terrace. All good.

Our Newalla stay was perfect, the room distribution was just what we needed, only a few blocks away is a street filled with restaurants, and less than a minute walk away is the train station with quick access to the Topkapi Palace and Galata Bridge. The view are not great, nor the are, it is safe, and clean and people are very friendly, just a little run down. The hotel seemed to be going renovations because our room was in pristine condition, beautiful and well taken care of. Staff was super, super nice, helpful and kind, very responsive and friendly, we wold recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in Old Town. They even bid us farewell with a box of Turkish delights.

Good: Really friendly, helpful staff Aircon works well! Plenty of sockets Comfy bed Fridge in room Bad: There was a problem with my room on the first night. I was given an upgrade but only for that night, so I couldn't unpack. The Lift broke on 2nd day - I was on the 3rd (top) floor and the spiral staircase was dark and slippery. Only 59% of the fixtures and lights work. Sockets hanging off the wall (in the bathroom!) None of the mirrors are hung straight! (A silly point, but annoying) Rain shower didn't work and most of the taps and pipework covers are missing. The shower adjustment between scalding and freezing is less than 1mm of movement on a clunky tap. The pillows are lumpy foam cube filled things. Very uncomfortable. The bed sheets are rough and starchy.

Fabulous hotel with a great location.

Fabulous hotel in a great location in the amazing Istanbul! The hotel looks like it was recently renovated as all the decoration is very contemporary & funky, whilst also maintaining the character of the old building. It’s location is great - 15 minutes walk from the grand bazaar, the blue mosque, 5 minutes more to Hagia-Sophia Sofia and then 5 minutes more to topkapi palace. Directly opposite a train stop which goes to Yenikapi where you can pick up the metro - or you can walk to Yenikapi in about 25 minutes. Metro system is great & easy to use with an Istanbulkart. Staff were lovely & kept the cafe open for us when we arrived late. The area feels very alive and full of people going about their daily lives. If you prefer a sterile, tourist area this is not it but it feels absolutely alive and gives you a great feel for Istanbul. They have a cafe underneath or there is a street with many restaurants just around the corner. Amazing views from the rooftop terrace - overlooking the Sea of Marmara and the blue mosque / Hagia-Sophia / sulimanye mosque.

Dårlig hotel

Personalet var flinke, det er nok det eneste positive ting ved opholdet. Jeg fortryder, at jeg valgte denne hotel. Har specifikt valgt dette værelse med boblebad, men det rusten og faldefærdigt, at vi ikke brugte den en eneste gang. Wc var meget småt, er du en mand på 80 kg, er det umuligt at være i. Morgen mad var det værste. Har givet 500 kr. par nat. Ikke en billig hotel ift. Hvad man får. Morgen maden var det samme med brød og pålæg. Billeder fra hotellet er misvisende. Hotellet kan ikke anbefales, selv for 200 kr par nat. Jeg føler jeg blev snydt.

Duruma Göre İdare Edebilir

Bölge itibariyle binaların eski ve iç mimarinin de düzensiz olduğu bir alan. Kaldığım odada pencere yoktu mesela. Başka bir odada ise pencere oldukça yukarıda. Aslında otel için dizayn edilmemiş bir binada otel hizmeti veriliyor. Temizlik fena değil. Kahvaltı güzeldi. Personel ilgili ve alakalı. Çevrede meyhaneler sokağı bulunuyor. Sahil yürüyüş yapmak için yakın.
