The hotel has an excellent location, 15 minute walk to Sultanameth square. It has a nice view from the terrace. The breakfast is healthy and yummy, the owner is a very polite man, friendly and very helpful.
Rooms are very small thou, shower is in the same space where the toilet is without any division, I am not a fan of this. Recommended for 1 person and for a short stay
Hotel com muitas escadas bem verticais e limpeza e conforto nota 3. Recepção, café da manha e localização nota 10.

Average accomadation.
Wonderful location and positive reviews of this property made us choose this hotel. The shower doesn't even have a curtain and is not separated from the rest of the bathroom anyhow. It results in getting the WC and even the toilet paper roll damp every time you have shower.
We've stayed there for 7 nights and had towels changed and cleaning only once during our stay. The toiletries that the hotel provides include only soap bars and shampoo bottles.
The staircase leading to the breakfast terrace on the forth floor is indeed very narrow and challenging your physical condition.
The breakfast is fresh and plentiful, the beds are comfy, the location is walkable to all the major sights of Sultanahmet.

Small, clean with a view
Small hotel in an old building with a very nice view of the Sea of Marmara from the top floor breakfast area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms leave little for other then the bed and can be chilly in the winter time. Great for overnighters and low budget travelers with minimal baggage. It is a very narrow walk up to all the floors.
Hotel was within walking distance of Sultanahmet. The stairs leading up to the rooms were very narrow. Hated the shower, toilet, sink combination. Friendly staff though.
Nice little hotel in a great area, near Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia.
Rooms are clean, breakfast is ok, the view from the roof top is nice.
The owners are discret but welcoming.

Decent budget-hotel in Sultanahmet
A very simple hotel located in the old district of Istanbul (Sultanahmet), close to all of the biggest tourist attractions. The room was quite small, but since we didn't spend that much time at the room it was alright for a weekend.
The breakfast was sufficient with some nice turkish specialties and, best of all, served on their rooftop terrace with an amazing view of the Marmara sea!
The staff was very friendly and helpful, even despite their poor english.
Overall: Decent budget-hotel in a good geographical location, can definitely recommend!

Staying at Hotel New Era proved to be a very good decision. The hotel is close to all the major attractions in Istanbul, located in a good neighbourhood and very well maintained in spite of its age. However, breakfast should have more variety and the lady there should be more friendly.

Gilles.
Not a bad place for the money! It's not a super luxurious place, but the bed is comfortable, the staff friendly and accommodating, it has air conditioning, and it's conveniently close to all the must-see stuff.

Good for one night
The room is small but the front desk is nice and the location is great. We only stayed one night and the hotel arranged transportation to the airport for 5 euros each. Breakfast was a good Turkish spead.
Helt Topp
