"This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy. "I don’t know where to begin. What a beautiful, beautiful spot. Check in was easy and quick. The staff were so kind. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were housed in a joining room which was perfect for our family of 4. Our favourite part was the food. We booked a reservation for the night of our arrival. The Mac and cheese on the kids menu was the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had (of course I had to eat some of our kids’ meals lol). The beds were exceptionally comfortable! We were blown away by the breakfast - complementary to your stay and it was phenomenal. I didn’t realize it was part of our stay so I was quite shocked when we didn’t have to pay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying on the Isle of Skye. It’s a perfect spot to stay if you’re doing a northern Skye loop (old man of Storr, kilt rock, quiraing etc). This definitely is more than a 3 star hotel in my opinion! I’d choose a spot like this over a Sheraton any day. "
