"I had an amazing stay at Hame Hotel on the Isle of Skye. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and well organized, making our stay very easy. The location is stunning and very central for exploring the island. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have a great common area with an honesty bar that is well stocked. "This was another one of our favorite hotels on this trip. The cabins were well appointed with lovely views. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant. Cocktails and food were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the sauna and did our first cold plunge! Be prepared to take a short hike up a rocky trail to get to your cabin. They have golf carts to take your luggage up."

"The perfect location for all of your Isle of Skye exploration. Nice staff and good clean rooms. My husband and I found the room nice with a beautiful first floor view of the grounds but a little cramped and maybe needing a little refresh. We were told it was an upgrade due to the view, however the room was next to the housekeeping closet which meant it was quite loud early in the morning. The breakfast each morning was lovely. Everyone we met on staff was really helpful and kind."

"The Marmalade Hotel is in a nice location that’s just a short walk (about 1/2 mile) from the center of Portree and harbor. The property is a nice mix of an older renovated traditional structure (which houses the hotel lobby, guest lounge, and restaurant) and a new modern structure where the guest rooms are located. The property as a whole has a clean, contemporary feel and is well cared for. The rooms are clean, contemporary and modest with nice amenities. I would stay here again when I return to Portree."

"The cabin was clean, modern yet cozy and off the beaten path from the crowds in Portree. The kitchen was excellent if you wanted to cook on holiday. The only draw back was the small fridge that didn't seem to cool very well. The host was very responsive to our requests during our visit. I wanted a secluded stay for our time on Skye that was easy to get around to all the popular destinations. I would definitely stay here again."

"A very pleasant stay. Breakfast and evening meals were particularly good. The evening meals can easily compete with any good restaurant on the island. A gem. The hotel is remote. There is a 2-mile narrow road with potholes to navigate to get to the property. Consequently, I left in the morning and returned late afternoon, spending the day on other activities. The hotel has a retreat-like quality. The sunroom is a wonderful space for rest and contemplation, or reading and games and conversation. Beautiful outlook on the loch. Also, hotel staff will do laundry for a fee, a huge boon since laundry services on the island are very limited. Definitely recommend if the remote setting is not a concern."
