"The classic rooms are very small. There is no sound proofing between rooms and every word said is heard. The halls are narrow. There is a very small elevator. There are no bars in the shower. There are some safety concerns. The property grounds are beautiful. The breakfast is good. The parking is not adequte. There are not enough spaces in any night."

"Beautiful property, well maintained. The room was beautifully decorated and the location within a 10 minute walk from the walls of Lucca. Enjoyed my stay and would consider staying again in the future if visiting the area."

"Fantastic villa..castle feeling for sure! Pool with comfy lounges, roooms tall and lovely decor, marble bathroom with plenty of hot water. Beds comfy, linens were soft and great. Staff was fabulous & helpful, met the young female owner and her dog Polly which gave history and a unique experience as her style is class. Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of coffee and solid food and cheese, breads to toast etc. Outdoors gave plenty of options to sit and chat, find a quiet cove, play in the corner, browse the old building to find the olive press and meet a little lemon tree that is 250 years old! We had a car so restaurants were within 10-20 mins and lots to choose from. Absolutely my most favorite off all of our stops and stays this far. There is just way more than what is mentioned as far as property to roam and relax! LOvEd it"

"Great base , quiet, just outside city walls, very close to tunnel to walk into the centre. Kettle in room to make a cup of tea, not usually found in Tuscany! Only down side no hot food at breakfast."

"A well located hotel, just outside the city walls, close to the train station but quiet despite being on a main road.Parking is available. The inclusive spa is a lovely treat, especially if you book this for your arrival day, after travelling in. All staff are customer focussed, helpful, polite and pleasant. Breakfast is very good, plenty to choose from with healthy options and sweet treats. The fish restaurant next door was really nice and had a good choice of meals and wines. Our room (65) was well equipped and a decent size, as was the bathroom but the small shower cubicle was a disappointment given the overall size of the bathroom."

"We were made to feel so welcome by the lovely family that runs this B&B. The room we stayed in is large, comfortable and separate from the main residence. The breakfast was brilliant and an event in itself! There is plenty of parking if needed and a large garden to sit out in. Set in a quiet residential area it is a 10 minute walk to the edge of the historic centre. Highly recommended."

"Room was run down and the breakfast was included in the past but not now. Staff said that the name change and rebranding was meant to attract business people but there were no working outlets in the room and no usb or other charging outlets apart from one socket in the bathroom. Very inconvenient. The place was much nicer to stay at in the past 15 years but has been let down by its owners sadly. "
