"Everything was as expected except the bathroom door is a barn style door that refused to stay closed. Slid itself ooen every time and there was no latch. Ended up jamming a towel under it so it stayed. Everything else was good and clean."

"PUBLIC is a very hip hotel with very nice amenities and a seemingly great following. Lots always going on in the common areas. Great juice bar and trippy escalator experience upon entering the foyer. The beds are incredibly comfy!! Who knew that an on/off button in the generous shower stall (great water pressure) was what my life was missing. Great location steps away from 2nd Avenue subway and a well-appointed Whole Foods. Really enjoyed our stay here!"

There is 24 hour deli a few steps away from the entrance which made this place worthwhile for us. Rooms were a tad bit smaller than usual but we didn’t mind that much as we spent most of the time sightseeing"
