"We stayed Sora tradition western style, room is spacious, clean, and provides good amenities - like best face soap & moisturizer face creams, top of line hair dryer, Yukata, indoor & out door slippers, toothbrush with paste. I don’t have to pack anything. They provide for you. Only thing missing was body lotion. The indoor hot springs (in room) temperature was perfect, but outside terrace one was extremely hot, so hard to enjoyable. The Japanese style meals, the dinner and breakfast we select was 8/10. All great, but the soup wasn’t my favorite, however others might like it. In my opinion, the coffee wasn’t that great, but good selection of teas. I can’t complain the staff’s service. Top notch, they will make your stay comfortable, everyone so politely kind. So, my staying at here was best experience. Another plus things was next to Hell of Beppu and has great city view. "

"The staff was excellent and the food/meals were amazing. The seki saba and aji sashimi as well as the bungo beef were delicious and a must try. We really enjoyed that you get to use one of the four onsen for yourself/your party for 1 hour, just make sure you go at the designated time slot and the onsen you chose. There is English intructions to help you use the amenities as well as an explanation of the inn and their areas. The only issue is we found mold growing in the AC which we did use after our bath time to cool down. We did find it odd that it smelled weird a bit and unfortunate there was mold in the AC. Hope we don't get sick. Other than that, the inn was a nice place to stay for a Beppu onsen experience and Beppu/Oita cuisine"

The resturant appeared to have a bigger menu than the limited Shabu Shabu that was shown in English, I wish we had known about that as the other patrons food looked amazing. Lots to do in walking distance from the hotel and free parking on site. "

"The private onsen were phenomenal. The onsen in the room was also amazing. The main clerk made sure to explain everything he could about the room, the baths, and the entirety of the building. Breakfast was also amazing, a large spread of what I hope is a traditional Japanese breakfast. "

"Hotel was centrally located near the Kanawa Bus Station/Hells Pools/food steam restaurant. 10min walk from the bus station. The hotel was clean & has an onsen! Tatami rooms w/a kitchen, tiny bathroom (ship size). It is an older hotel, but it was perfect for us. The young man running the hotel was so nice and pleasant. We had a slight translation issue but used our google translate. Perfect area and close to the main sights. 20 min to JR Beppu station by bus from the Kanawa Bus Station. We arrived at the Beppudaigaku Station (walk across the street to get the local bus to Kanawa bus station 15min ride). The hotel is older but was perfect to experience a real ryokan (tatami floor & futons). Sauna & onsen on 1st floor. 7-11 across from Kanawa bus stop. This hotel is not in the city center of Beppu, but in the outskirts. But walkable to the sights. Take a bus to Yufuin-50 min from Kanawa station. Rate is super reasonable (we stayed 4 nights). I chose this location becuz I wanted to be near the Hells pools. Excellent location, rate, clean...perfect for us and we have stayed at the Tokyo Station hotel, so we know what the difference is and was perfectly satisfied with this property. "
