Lovely stay

Lovely stay and super attentive staff. My bed was a bit soft. The free onsen usage on site was great. The resturant appeared to have a bigger menu than the limited Shabu Shabu that was shown in English, I wish we had known about that as the other patrons food looked amazing. Lots to do in walking distance from the hotel and free parking on site.

Kunisakiso Ryocan was lovely. We ended our trip in Kyushu here, and it was very relaxing. We get to book a private bath, and the family bath is a first come first serve, so we split that between my dughter and I in the family bath whie my husband took the private bath - no bathing suits allowed. They also have a huge public bath, but my daughter would not have anything to do with that. After a few very heck days, our two night stay was a much needed rest. We missed the evening dinner reservation at the Ryocan, so the staff recommended Hama Sushi, a 5 min walk from the Ryocan. it was delicious and very reasonably priced. This spot was great because it is very close to the Hells of Beppu, which was the end of our tour from Hakata. It is a bit out of the way so we got a taxi to the YouMe mall where we found some great deals on clothing! Beppu is a much slower pace city compared to the hustle and bustle of the bigger centers. In the mist of summer, it is even more quiet, but that works to our advantage as we almost had the entire place to ourselves! The staffs were super nice and they served a delicious traditional breakfast which was greatly appreciated as this gabe is a glimpse of what lhelarhy ocals eat. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, it was an okay stay. Everything felt pretty average for an onsen hotel... not bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. The room was decent, service was fine, and the location was convenient. The onsen itself worked well.. but that's all it's matter.. the natural hot spring..

温泉は最高！お湯の温度も丁度良く清潔で気持ち良く入れました。朝食もバイキングでは無くちょこっとずつたくさんの種類のおかずを楽しめました。鶏肉、豚肉、沢山の種類のお野菜、やせうま(大分の郷土料理)が入ったお味噌汁と湯豆腐も美味しかった！固形燃料で温めて有り、熱々をいただきました。ロビーに置いてあるコーヒーも美味しいコーヒーでした。次回も是非国東荘に泊まりたいです。

직원분들께서 연배도 있으신데 너무 정중히 상냥하게 맞이해 주셨습니다. 제가 바닥에서 잘 못자는데도 침구류가 정말 너~~~무 만족스러워서 깊게 잤고 가이세키도 맛있었습니다. 노천탕도 정말 만족했고 편안한 숙박이었습니다.

ホテルドットコムの写真に騙された❗

スタッフの方々は、色々丁寧に説明してくれ、フレンドリーでした、。 お料理は、クオリティは良く2人には食べきれないくらいの量でした。 部屋が畳が古いのか、ジャージに畳の藁が切れて入ってました。ホテルドットコムの写真では、ベットの部屋が多く写っていたので（映りも良かった）多分ベットの新しい部屋を期待していましたが、和式の古い部屋でした。トイレも、芳香剤入れて欲しかった❗元々臭かったです！夜中に蚊が、1匹か？何匹？か、いて、夜中で、スタッフもよべず、かなり噛まれ、なかなか寝れなかったです。蚊取り線香を用意しといて欲しかったです。（もし、虫が多いのであれば！）値段ほどの価値は料理以外感じられなかったです。

夕飯は素晴らしかったです 温泉も良かったです ただ、朝食の煮物は明らかに冷凍でかぼちゃがブヨブヨでした せっかくの団子汁もお野菜が冷凍なのか固形燃料か燃え尽きてもお汁がぬるくて悲しかったです　夕飯が良かっただけに残念でした

館内は改装されてまあまあ綺麗だか、全体の印象は古い昔ながらの温泉宿。 大浴場、好みの泉質で良かったが、洗い場が3人しか座れず間隔も狭い。しかも排水口の流れがかなり悪く二人使用していると流した水が溜まり、足が浸かる状態で汚い。 新しく屋上にできた家族風呂も利用したが、お湯の温度が低すぎて入っているのがつらかった。湯が出てくる横に蛇口があったが、水しか出てこず、シャワーからお湯を入れたが貸切の制限時間内ではぬるいままで、風呂から出るときは震えた。 食事、お刺身の量は多くて良かったが味は普通。その他のお料理も普通の美味しさ。 値段を考えると妥当なのかなと思う。

extremely clean and comfortable

excellent in every aspect. One of the best onsen hotels we have stayed so far which we have stayed at at least 10 or more onsen hotels throughout the years in Japan. Excellent hospitality and amazing cleanliness and extremely comfortable. The photos defo don't do the hotel any justice! Although the onsen is a bit small and old and also there was no cold water. Overall, would definitely recommend the hotel!

チェックインが15時で、14:30ぐらいについたので荷物だけ預かってもらおうと電話しましたが繋がりませんでした。 ですが、雨の日だったので傘の貸し出しや、部屋内の雰囲気はすごくよかったです。温泉も満足でした。
