"Everything was great. Close to Arashiyama Station and a short walk across the bridge into town. Staff was super-friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Would stay again!"

"Everything is great and value for money. The only thing you may need to consider is the 10-15 minutes walk from railway station and major visitor's area , though they provide shuttle to the railway station."

"This is a traditional ryokan with onsen facilities, and we chose the half-board option. The kaiseki dinner was excellent—beautifully presented and far more food than anyone could realistically finish. Breakfast was also outstanding, with the choice of either a Japanese or Western-style meal.
The resort is slightly removed from the main tourist area of Arashiyama, located across the river and close to one of the train stations, though not the most central lines. This does make it feel quieter, but also means a bit more travel if you're exploring the area.
The staff were wonderful—warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. The onsen facilities were extremely relaxing and perfect after a full day of hiking.
Overall, a classic ryokan experience with exceptional meals and hospitality."
"Simply spectacular. A real gem of a place. The attendees are extremely kind and go over and beyond to make the stay feel comfortable. This is a 7 star property with true cultural vibe. The food is fantastic. I’ll be going back for sure. The experience is worth every penny. "
"Highlight of our trip!
The hotel rooms are spacious, clean (although I did find a few strands of hair here and there but never felt the place was unclean), and the overall environment was private.
Food was great, can confirm dinner and bfast are different every day. It was a really nice touch that the chef stops by. We only had breakfast and then hotel provided snacks (even their snacks were different each day), we felt full until dinner.
Onsen was amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Staff were so friendly and attentive.
If I had to nitpick, it would be how quiet the place is, the floors are a bit squeaky, so we can hear upstairs walking around at night. But otherwise it was very quiet.
Again, we had a great time and would go back"
