Clean and quiet
We stayed as 4 adults and a toddler, and the property was great. It was quiet, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great, and we would stay there again. The only downside was that we were in a large car (Kia carnival) and the driveway, gate and parking space was tight for such a large car. But we were able to make it work.

Lovely cottage
We all had a lovely stay in Bathurst Mews. Lots of room for 2 couples with 2 lounge areas and 2 bathrooms. Very close to Hobart tourist areas. We were able to walk to most places. Would stay again when we return to Tasmania.

Convenient and cosy stay
We loved our time at Bathurst Mews. Our hosts communicated information we needed to make our stay great. The space itself was wonderful, 2 lounge areas, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and ample open living and outdoor area, and quiet, as it was back from the street, behind larger properties in front. The apartment was only a short walk to everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay, Mitchell and Maggie. We hope to return again one day soon!

Fabulous Hobart getaway
This little house is a true hidden gem in Hobart with all city attractions only a stones throw away, yet we loved the peace and quiet that the property had to offer. The house was spotless and the decor was beautiful. We had everything we needed in the house and check in was super easy. As a family, we’d highly recommend this house and will definitely be back. It’s our new place to stay at each time we are in Hobart. Thankyou Mitch and Maggie, we just loved our stay.

Great location, very central but very quiet. Missed out on MONA (closed on Thursday!) so will have to come back. Plenty of space for chilling out both inside and out. A great stay.

Great location but improvement needed
We arrived to discover the confirmation email from VRBO did not have the code and eventually found the code on a separate email from the owner. The owner responded to our request for assistance within minutes which was excellent. While there are two bedrooms and bathrooms. The ensuite has no door and only a half wall seperating the toilet from the rest of the room. As a couple who are really not comfortable with toileting infront of each other this meant we used the other toilet during the night. Both the door to the master bedroom and the door to the second bathroom were sliding and extremely difficult to open and close properly which gave my elderly mother great difficulty in creating privacy to use the second bathroom. Finally and most importantly to us the house was dirty. The ensuite shower and basin were so mould infested it could be smelt as you walked in. Under furniture and the air-conditioner was dusty. The mould is absolutely unacceptable. It is also important to note the second bedroom's only source of fresh air is the skylight which has no shade over it (i.e. the room has no opening windows). There is less than 6 openable windows in the unit and while there are several french doors only one could be opened and the two times we did a wasp flew in. Such a shame as the owner is very helpful and location excellent.

Dear Helen I am sorry you found a number of things unsatisfactory for your visit we welcome all comments from guests to help us rectify any problems. Each guests is sent a personal email with a great deal of extra information, this includes the access details. As we have keyless locks that can be re programmed periodically it is important for your security that the code provided is accurate for your visit. The ensuite was designed to allow for disabled access. This has recently been updated to include the modesty screen around the toilet. As stated this is not the only toilet in the apartment. The 2nd bedroom has an openable skylight to allow for ventilation to this room. As the apartment is open plan the kitchen, lounge dinning areas have full access to 4 windows that have screens and 2 openable double doors. As to your other comments, when we spoke to you on the phone we invited you to contact us again if you needed any further assistance. This you did not do. If you had difficulties we would have tried to rectify these We always try to make our guests have a comfortable stay.

They’ve thought of everything
Bathurst Mews was a home away from home in Hobart. It’s very well-equipped for a family, with everything from laundry powder (which I’ve never seen at a holiday rental) to a very deep and relaxing bathtub. It’s clean, kitchen is well-equipped and the beds are comfortable. We’ve had excellent communication from the beginning, and Mitchell was lovely and helpful throughout our stay. We even had the privilege of meeting Sarah and Jack. Highly recommended, and one of the best properties we’ve rented anywhere in the world.

Awesome getaway any time of year
End of July in Hobart may not be everyone’s ideal vacation, but I’m visiting from the US to avoid our hot summer. The detached cottage was cozy and wonderfully appointed with lots of blankets and easily heated. The kitchen provided enough amenities to satisfy our cooking fantasies : slow cooked beef short ribs, a Mexicain minced dinner complete with guacamole and pico de gallo, mixed seafood on another night and the butcher’s prepared. Lamb roast stuffed with spinach and mozzarella wrapped with prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes for our last night. The ensuite bathroom was luxurious. The cottage is close enough to walk the city and the open markets. We even splurged and got Posh Pit seating on the ferry to the Mona Museum. The hosts were very responsive and provided useful recommendations. Definitely recommend for any time of year

Beautifully appointed, modern home in great location
Thanks Maggie and Mitchell for having us at Bathurst Mews. It was the perfect location to explore Hobart and walking distance to Salamanca. Lovely modern, extremely clean home and had all we wanted, plus some we didn't have an opportunity to use. Wish we could have stayed a few more days to make the most of it. And thanks to Mitch for your understanding when we had an issue which was entirely our own fault.

A hidden gem. Felt like home, especially after a very long and challenging road trip in the dark and rain. Far enough away from the CBD to be quiet, but close enough to walk everywhere. Decor is lovely, beds comfortable. Will be back.

The property had two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The two living areas was an extra bonus. Unfortunately as we were a group of 4 oldies, we found the steep drive and parking a challenge. As keen gardeners we would have loved to prune some of the beautiful roses.

Gorgeous cottage in great location!
A very special place to stay with everything you could possibly need. Just a short stroll to the waterfront and lots of shopping and restaurants. Beautifully decorated in an eclectic yet extremely comfortable manner, with a lovely courtyard and garden. Our only concern was the tightness of the gateway to get to our parking area. A smaller car would be advantageous. We loved staying here and would highly recommend it to fellow travellers.

Perfect Hobart base
This was a delightful place to stay while exploring Hobart- really comfortable, stylish design and lovely outdoor sitting area surrounded by wisteria and cottage garden. Close to town centre but set back from roads so very quiet. Good car parking area which catered for our SUV and roof pod. Had every thing you need. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place short walk from town
We had a great stay here, very close to all the shops and restaurants. Even the Salamanca markets can be easily reached on foot. Only unusual detail was a large skylight in one of the bedrooms which won’t bother you if you are an early riser. Properly was very clean and well maintained. Suited us as individual travellers having our own bathrooms too. Comfy beds and modern features. Huge benefit having off street parking too

A nice, short stay in a nice place
Two of us stayed at Bathurst Mews for two nights. It was just what we needed. Without a car, the lodging was well-located, enabling us to walk to nearby restaurants and stores along with the Waterfront and Salamanca Market (although we missed the Saturday market). On Criterion Street, we were able to find gifts with Tasmanian and animal designs at the Red Parka store. The lodging was clean and well-outfitted. The hosts were responsive when queried. For us, a highlight was the small, quiet garden. Its flowers and birds provided us a respite in the middle of Hobart. We enjoyed it for breakfasts, afternoon refreshments, and dinners.

Fantastic Stay
My husband and I were very pleased with the property. It was more than adequate for our stay. Especially liked the cleanliness of all the areas including the furnishings. Very comfortable bed, especially the pillows. We are from Brisbane and it was a lovely change to see cold weather plants in the garden, different from our sub-tropical climate. Great location, couldn't ask for anything more!!

Really cute home in a central location
We really enjoyed our stay, it suited our group of friends very well being able to use the 2nd loungeroom as an extra bedroom. Location is great, all the places we needed to get to were walking distance. The only minor comment I would make is that there wasn't enough heating, so it could feel very cold overnight and in the mornings until the one heater in the lounge had a chance to warm up the space a bit. I have no doubt if I asked, this would have been addressed, but we were so busy during our stay I just didn't get to it. Overall, I would absolutely recommend.

Thank you Elise for your kind words. I am sorry you found it a little cold. I am not sure if you were aware there is a second heat pump located in the second living area. If you set the heat pumps to about 18 degrees over night it will provide a pleasant ambient temperature. A small portable heater is located in the wardrobe of the master bedroom, an infrared heater in the second bathroom and a heated towel rail. We would certainly invite you to stay in the future.
