"Stayed here several times now. Our room this time was clean but very tired and needing updating. Had dinner and breakfast in the newly renovated dining room which is lovely. Food good and reasonably priced. Lounge bar is always a great place to chill or meet people. Staff all very helpful as usual. Lovely walks either way down the canal towpath."

"Parking was our first problem, but reception helped with this. The room was too warm during the night, we tried opening the windows, but then they rattled, so we had to close them again and turned the heating down, then when we returned there wasn't any. They ran out of cooked eggs at one breakfast and the apple juice tasted off at the other one."
