We were attending a wedding at the Tithbarn at Bolton Abby. The craven arms accommodated our early arrival so we could change prior to the wedding. The room was perfect and the breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Uniquely styled room. Huge walk in shower. Comfortable mattress on bed. Good room facilities.
It's really good. It is a bit pricey, but that's how things are these days, I guess. All staff were friendly and professional, food was really good, good beer too, and all was immacculately clean. This is highly recommended by us

Warm welcome at the Craven Heifer
Very helpful staff. Our first room was rather small with a very hard bed, but they changed it to a bigger room for our last night. Some of the boutique rooms have very quirky furniture! The staff were great, and the breakfasts were brilliant. Would stay again - but choose the room carefully.
A fabulous night away. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived and enjoyed drinks and food once we had checked in. The team were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We will definatley be returning for Sunday lunch, as we only had a selection of starters as we were dining elsewhere that evening. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable and we have a very quiet nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. We wish we had booked for more than one night! We will be back!

Liked: Staff & service
The:- Hotel; ; Outside view very good; internally clean & tidy; all surfaces clean to touch; carpets in good condition. The food & drink were all excellent. Service from staff was exemplary! We had booked & paid well in advance. Our assigned Room was "Crows Nest"! which turned out to be at the very top of the hotel up a narrow, steep, winding staircase to an attic with a very good en-suite, but otherwise a boys room with a collection of miscellaneous boxes serving as storage/tables and odd bits of ephemera scattered about. Who thought placing 2 80 year olds in such Room carrying their own luggage was a good idea?
Stayed for one night to attend a local wedding.
Lovely place, friendly service and good traditional English breakfast.
Improvement suggestions:
Our room had no hairdryer.
Xmas lights flashing outside our window all night were a minor distraction. Good to switch them off overnight.
Some fixtures such as bedknobs were loose
Toilet seat doesn't stay up without having to hold it.
Hopefully some constructive comments as this really is a lovely place
We paid twice what you’d have expected for this type of poor accommodation; we relied on the photos and didn’t want to stay at a nearby Best Western. Decent, reasonably priced hotels are hard to come by in the area. It was an uncomfortable stay. The room was listed as the “Romantic Cabaret” room; there was nothing romantic about this run down, dirty and freezing room. The carpets were dirty and in need of vacuuming, the shower power lacked power, the shower head was moldy, the street lights shone through the curtains all night, the heat was off until the morning while it was minus 3 overnight. The bed was uncomfortable with cheap bedding. The rooms are above the pub; they look like a bad DIY job. We ate at the pub; the food and drink was acceptable, and the service friendly, and the stay included a decent breakfast. However, I would never recommend the place for accommodation. At £130 for the night, I felt like we were robbed…
