I couldn’t recommend this property enough. What a lovely place and lovely people. We were running late and the lady stayed up for us. We also experienced a punctured tyre on the way up and they let us stay in the property until it was sorted. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It was clean, warm and comfortable. It’s an absolute must to stop off and stay here.

Nice welcome and fine for my purposes
Warm welcome and comfortable room, with clean, pleasant shared bathroom and access to a kitchen where I microwaved my porridge for breakfast. The meals in the restaurant are particularly recommended (have had several times without staying in last few years), and there's a real ale beer, always a bonus!

Such wonder owners. Gerry and Alison were so welcoming. The property is lovely, there is a beautiful shared bathroom and kitchen to go with the lovely room. Comfortable, warm, perfect for what you need.

Amazing hotel
Is amazing hotel. Amazing food and brilliant beer ideal location for North Coast 500. Brilliant staff. We come definitely back.

Arrived gone 4pm could not get in had to ring and was greeted by oh sorry just got up?? Check in was outside in the cold then finally shown up to a small room with single beds Very noisy but clean Nasty metal stairs to climb to get to the room

Friendly staff and owner with good local information provided in room. Free parking across the road. Very friendly locals and probably the best value fish and chips in Scotland.

Room was ok. Toilet was clean enough. Unfortunately the people occupying the room next door decided to cook the most strong smelling thing i have ever smelt in my life. Completely stank the entire top floor. They also seemed to have an issue closing their door so it was quite noisy.

Yes I can see how that would of been annoying, I would of asked them to close their door if you had called me, very sorry about that. Of course I'm never aware of my customers intentions before they arrive and if I was aware they were going to be cooking such a meal I would of discussed it with them, I do apologise for that.

The room was very comfortable and warm. It was a bit noisy from the bar downstairs, however, it was a Friday night, so that's to be expected.

a homey stay
The stay gave us a homey feel. Alison was so generous to greet us with Whisky, just like we were meeting an old friend. She knew we had driven a long road from the cold Highland., Whisky helped to warm our bodies. Thanks for her hospitality.

Nice place but cold
Nice welcoming atmosphere . Food nice. The restaurant was cold, So we ate and quickly Went back to the bar to get warm by the small Portable Gas heater. The double room was nice and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom very cold. No option for a cooked breakfast. There was a small amount of milk and mini cereal boxes. There was bread left there but was a week out of date.

Thank you for your review. I must apopogise for the fact that the areas outside your room were cold but that night was reported at -10 and with a building over 160 years old it is a challenge to keep everywhere warm. I am told that the coal fire was also alight in the restaurant so I can see we had tried our best for you but I know it does take some time for the heat to permeate the areas. We are a self-catering premises most of our customer do tend to bring their own breakfast food and sometimes they do leave items. If you had of asked our bar manager he would of arranged fresh bread, eggs etc for you. Sorry again for the cold I hope this will not stop you visiting us again.

We had a family room took 4 of us got use of of the small kitchen and free milk and cornflakes my sons got the breakfast which they both enjoyed. The host was very friendly what more can i saw
