"Kenji picked us up from the ferry and took us on the long and winding road to his place, which is beautifully secluded and has stunning views over the Seto inland sea. He was super friendly, making sure we were settled in and giving us a basket of organic vegetables from his garden before leaving. The house is lovely, blending traditional Japanese house design with modern elements. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. We spent a lot of time on the deck and in the traditional Japanese bath. The property is surrounded by beautiful forests and is a short walk from the beach if you want a swim. We both love birdwatching and the birdlife in the area is amazing, with an abundance of Narcissus Flycatchers in the forests and Grey Nightjars which can be heard singing in the evening. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay for longer!!"
