Lovely Seaside Hotel
The room was plush. Admittedly not geared up for heavy tea drinkers but still had all the amenities we could wish for. Dinner menu is a little limited but not expensive. Breakfast was enjoyable even though the beans had been microwaved on the plate. All said and done would happily stay there again.

The most comfy bed I’ve had in a hotel in years. Got the room with sea view, lovely view in the morning. Shower pressure was great, clean room and great night of sleep. Lift bit small but not the end of the world.

We were unable to sleep as our bedroom was next door to the loft and we could hear very loudly every time someone used the lift and when the door was open and closed it was a very loud bang snd then children I think of someone was running up and down the corridors do we ended up giving our room key to the cleaner downstairs and leaving at 2am. Very disappointed as it was my partners 40th birthday and we had booked for 2 nights so lost money and I’ve emailed the hotel and no response back

Lovely hotel on the seafront
Lovely old hotel. Staff were really friendly. Room was spotless, beds were really comfortable. Ate breakfast there every morning and plenty to choose from. Would happily stay there again.

Great location. Only downfall was the noisy door lift with quest used in going up to their rooms. Lift door could use some re fitting a noise reducing mechanism.

8 Houses cobbled together - and it shows!
There are 2 lifts. One, which stops at the 2rd floor, from where you have to navigate a labyrinth of very narrow passageways to a very narrow flight of stairs to the 3rd floor. Not good if you have mobility problems. The other lift was described by my 10 year old grandson as a "vertical coffin" which may be a slight exaggeration, but not much. Not good for those suffering from claustrophobia. The décor is somewhat dated and in need of a facelift. The food is adequate and typically English. Would I book in here again. Most likely not.

Good hotel and location
Had a good week stay at this hotel. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. We had a premier first floor room which has a great view on the beach and sea with doors that open out - no balcony. The only issue with these rooms is that the outside bar/seating area is just below and the bar stays open till 12pm. So if you are a light and early sleeper, these might not be for you. We only had breakfast which has a selection of hot and cold. This is a dog friendly hotel. During our stay there was a number of owners with dogs which are allowed in the restaurant and bar area. They are also allowed to stay in the rooms, which is not clear from the web site. All in all, a good hotel and location. Every day yor bed is made and towels changed.

Good value for money. Great position. All the major areas of use clean and welcoming. Staff very friendly and attentive. Some of the areas of the hotel such as the corridors, stairs and lifts are in need of an update.

My honest feedback
Overall the stay was good. There is no air-con in the hotel, so if you have a room with a sea view and when you open the windows it’s very loud. The cleaning ladies were excellent. Hotel’s staff was really good and very helpful. One huge disadvantage - avoid hotel’s restaurant as much as possible. The service (especially if you sit outside) is very very VERY slow. And even if you managed to order your food (asked for sparkling water without ice and tea with slice of lemon) they are going to bring you something completely different - water WITH ice and tea with MILK ahaha

I am not a smoker but if you wanted to smoke you had to leave the hotel and walk the street. There was outside seating maybe they could cordon a small part off for smokers

Lovely hotel
We had a huge room with a sea view and overlooking the pier. The room looked newly refurbished and was very comfortable with a king sized bed and a sofa. Overall a very pleasant experience in this hotel. We were also able to park in the small hotel car park at the rear of the building. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing ,comfortable stay
If you want happy and relaxing stay ,helpful staff then stay here its comfortable and friendly, Room was very clean full of quirkiness , we had sea view room which is a must , ideal if you want to go and out , we also had light bite to eat ,dinner and breakfast in the hotel , which suited my husband and i ,but there are plenty options on the table for you to make your own choices thank you to all the staff.

We were lucky enough to visit Ths White Rock Hotel during the september heatwave, so we made full use of the sun terrace which has a beautiful view of the seafront and the pier. The sun terrace served a fantastic selection of breakfasts with fantastic service. This was a perfect spot for both afternoon and evening drinks. The room was perfect being clean, teas and coffees restocked everyday, the bed was amazingly cosy and the hotel was very welcoming of our furry family member, who also received a water bowl on each arrival to the sun terrace. The location of the hotel is perfect and only being a 20minute walk from old town as well as the crazy golf which i highly recommend! The car park at the back of the hotel only has a 15 car capacity so you have to time getting a space very well. Out of the whole week we only had to find somewhere else to park 2 days. Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommend, we will definitely be back!

Long weekend in Hastings
Had a great long weekend away in Hastings from Friday 25th - Monday 28th September. We were meant to be going to Lanzarote but were unable to due to the current conditions but Hastings was definitely a great substitute! The hotel was lovely and the staff showed exceptional customer service throughout our stay. The restaurant serves a great breakfast to keep you going until lunchtime and the evening meal menu is good too. I'd thoroughly reccomend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Hastings.

Friendly, helpful staff and a great location. We used the onsite car park and didn't need to use the car for the three days we were in Hastings. Breakfast was cooked to order and good quality at a very reasonable price. The shower was good, the temperature and water pressure fine. I would stay in here again.

This was a short visit during the pandemic so some restrictions were in place, especially to ensure health and safety. Nevertheless, all staff and management appeared determined to ensure we had a pleasant stay and were very successful in this endeavour. Highly recommended.

The location next to the theatre was convenient for the purpose of our visit. Check in was not very well organised, only one person on reception who also had to take guests to their rooms, this must have been as exhausting for the receptionist as it was frustrating for the guests. The room, which faced the seafront, had inefficient double glazing which meant the room was both noisy and cold - the bathroom was freezing cold! The beautiful light fitting jangled every time the guests moved in the room upstairs. Dinner in the restaurant was quick and reasonably priced for a tasty meal but our order for room service breakfast was misplaced and we had to re-request in the morning. Check out was very quick and efficient.

Little hotel very friendly service front of house was brilliant, bed soft and pillows great. I have a slight moan which was when the staff clean and clear other rooms the following morning they make alot of noise from the cleaning trolleys. This is because its a tiny walkway between each room and the walls in the room are thin. Other than that we had a lovely stay.
