Hanauma Bay Tours and Activities

The property is in a neighborhood away from all of the business of down town. It's surrounded by lush gardens with beautiful scenery. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a boat ride that takes you out to the coral reef to do some snorkeling then to a sandbar to swim and play volleyball. Check with the front desk for days available. If we return to Hawaii we will definitely stay here again. I've already recommended to a few people.

We had 3 adults staying there. It was advertised for 3 adults, however, the futon foldout was only big enough for a kid. We took pictures of our adult kids and their heads went over the futon. However. After complaining, the owners dropped off a double/queen blow up mattress, about the 3 day into the stay, meanwhile one of the kids had to move into our room. So, bad news, the room was not set up for 3 adults, but good news after days of complaining, the bed was corrected.

The only good thing I have to say about the property is that it's close to the beach, other than that not much to say. We had stayed here before but the room was quieter, this time around it was not. I made the mistake of booking a room with a balcony which comes with more windows except the windows are old and glass slats that don't seal very well so you can hear all the outside noise (trucks, people, wind, motorcycles), and mind you that we were on the 6th floor so you would think ground noises wouldn't be that loud but they were. On our last stay the room was pretty isolated with walls all around so it was quiet. And the AC was probably in better conditions because the one we had this time around was very noisy (rattled when the compressor came on). It was probably on it's last days of going out. I guess this place is a "you get what you pay for" so I'll probably find something else in the same price range even if it's a little further from the beach.
