"Cheap and cheerful, very eclectic (which suits me). The staff were lovely and helpful. Microwave in the room was great so we could make good coffees in the morning."

"We liked our stay here! Clean rooms, comfortable beds and great gateway to national parks in the area. We appreciated the little kitchenette area by the entrance and the shared toilets were clean.

Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely location close to some beautiful walks. The room was spacious with good cooking facilities and comfortable lounge room. It could have been cleaner though - there was toothpaste spatter on the bathroom mirror, the fridge was not clean and the cupboards & drawers in the kitchen needed to be wiped out. Supplies were also lacking - ran out of toilet paper (had to use our own), also ran out of dishwashing liquid and was only given one tiny soap between two people for...

Great Motel, very clean with none of the unnecessary bells and whistles that you don't need. Close to Baskerville Raceway , no need to go into the city for anything. Counter meals were huge and delicious.... Bakery , IGA Store, Chemist, Hairdresser all within walking distance, Would highly recommend this Hotel for a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

When is the most affordable time to visit Hamilton?
The most affordable time to visit Hamilton, Tasmania, is generally during the shoulder seasons—autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November)—or the quieter winter months (June to August). During these periods, you'll often find better deals on accommodation and flights compared to the peak summer season.
For solo travellers, visiting in autumn or spring offers pleasant weather for exploring the beautiful Tasmanian landscape without the summer crowds, which can translate to lower prices for tours and activities. The cooler climate also means less demand for air-conditioned rooms, potentially reducing hotel costs.
Winter can be particularly budget-friendly, as it's the off-peak season. While the weather will be colder, there's a unique charm to Tasmania in winter, and you'll encounter fewer tourists. Many accommodations offer significant discounts, and you might find cheaper car hire rates.

Couples and solo travellers can also take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings. A short drive will lead you to several scenic spots ideal for a picnic or a leisurely walk. The nearby Rivers Run Estate offers stunning views of the Clyde River and the surrounding countryside, great for photography enthusiasts without any entry fee.
