Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa

"We had a lovely family room - Ideal for the 4 of us. Parents had a 2 person room in the old building. My advice is to request a room in the new building if you prefer to avoid stairs - We were not aware of all the stairs and my parents found it difficult. This wouldn't stop us staying again - we would just request a ground floor room. Food was good. Parking was good. Most of the staff were excellent. Was in an excellent location for our needs."

"Comfortable, clean room in a beautiful location. Good choice at the breakfast buffet but the coffee was a let down, weak and tasteless latte. Evening meals were delicious, hot and tasty, we had the Steak Pie and the Fillet of Beef. Amazing views from the restaurant but couldn't see through the condensation on the windows at breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful both on reception and in the restaurant. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the location was beautiful."

The room was very large and very well modernised As a hotel they don’t serve breakfast but that’s not an issue as several nearby places do. It’s located on a lovely spot - probably the best area to see Cockermouth . I’d thoroughly recommend it"

After spending several days at the Hotel I am convinced we will be returning. From two happy customers."
