"I found the room was not vacuumed enough . We had to request towels for the second day. Our sheets were not changed. We had no coffee maker in our room. Breakfast was next door. We don’t think we are going to return"
"I just expected more for a Marriott. The room itself and the property were great. The view of the falls from the 20th floor was awesome. The disappointing part came on the amenities.
They offer deals on breakfast bar but you can’t take anything back to your room for folks that did not want to be in public yet. They offer deals on milestones Resturant which is their in-house restaurant but the deals are only for dine in customers. There are no snack machines in the motel. They do have a souvenir shop that sells snacks but it closes early. The pool seemed nice but it had tons of people running in and around the pool and the pool itself had a super strong sanitizer smell, wow, I think the pool guy dumped about a ton of chemicals in the pool to keep it sanitized which almost made us gag due to the smell.
So minus the lack of amenities that we consider important, everything else was great. We were in walking distance to every attraction. The incline tram was almost just below us which was great not having to walk up and down the stairs daily to get to the attractions. We were able to see the nightly fireworks and laser show from our room window. So fix the snacks, allow us to carry food from the buffet and restaurant back to our room then we would have had a great stay. By the way food, drink and snacks when you find them are extremely expensive. And there is a Walmart with in 12 minutes. All the water in the air made it just a tad too cold for shorts this week. Hope this helps"
"The view from the room was spectacular and the falls are quite something to witness.
But.. 70$ for parking? Literally everything is "and extra" and I was actually embarrassed at how much of a continuous money grab the falls are .. 30$ per couple to sit by the window, wifi is extra and so on and on.. not just within the hotel, the entire town is basically a pay to play land which isn't something I associate with Canada.
Glad I witnessed it but would not return due to the prevailing sense of overall greed and grift.
The hotel was fine enough but the whole Niagara endeavour feels the same - make excessive money from all the rubes..
The falls though are truly a wonder."
"From check in to departure, it was a wonderful experience. Room was large, clean and quiet. Staff was helpful. Only disappointment was that both hot tubs were out of order."
"staff from the front desk not friend and we have to wait for 10min before serving us some of them are in the back. will the one on front is on the phone talking to other customer. they should more out going and friendly to welcoming customer. so they will come back again."
