"From the outside the Lakeland doesn’t look very inviting, net curtains looking drab and the white building aging. The staff were lovely and very helpful, got into the room and every step I took, there was some almighty creaking from the floor boards. Had a decent night sleep though! Breakfast was a little disappointing l, there was mouldy bread left out. I ordered a fry up which looked amazing when it came out, the only issue was the size, it would’ve been perfect for a child not for a 6 foot bloke"

"Breakfast was nice but choice a bit limited as was the main menu. Otherwise no complaints and the food was well presented and tasty. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped. "

"The Hideaway is a family run hotel with fantastic facilities, great meals to select from at breakfast and the personal touch you get from the staff members are second to none. Safe and quiet environment close to the heart of Windermere with free parking, and just a walking distance to the Lake and all the restaurants around. Very happy people, thank you for taking care of us."

"The hotel was beautiful, rooms lovely and clean! The swimming pool and spa facilities, steam room were very good and very relaxing! The food at the FYR restaurant on site was lovely and reasonably priced aswell. The only cons I would say is that the drinks at the bar and and the pool are very expensive, considering the amount you are spending on everything else, in my opinion they don’t need to be that expensive. Overall had a very relaxing weekend, and I would return."
