Public liability!
They have an interesting approach to hospitality. Insist guests leave the property after checkout, citing “public liability insurance” does not cover them. Won’t allow guests to leave bags or wait in communal facilities until it’s time to head to the airport. In our case, it was a 2pm departure. The caretaker rudely and aggressively told us we weren’t paying customers after checking out and insisted we leave. I spend 100+ nights a year in hotels and have never experienced anything quite like it!
The other staff were friendly. The apartments were nice and modern except there were visible cleaning shortcuts including stained sheets, dusty crockery and surfaces that hadn’t been cleaned in some time.
