Top Glencoe Folk Museum Hotel Reviews
The Glencoe Inn
8/10 Good
"The Restaurant served delicious food but the rooms are very small."
Cherry Tree Cottage in Glencoe
10/10 Excellent
"Good base for exploring the area. Served our needs perfectly."
Glencoe Youth Hostel
8/10 Good
"Was surprised that a little milk was denied us with our morning free coffee because we didn’t order it ahead of time. Otherwise everything wa good."
Self Catering House sleeps 11
10/10 Excellent
"Rochelle’s house is a large comfortable spacious house that is perfectly located for exploring the Scottish Highlands. There were 8 of us so we just used the main bedrooms/shower rooms (we didn’t even use the second lounge or garden unfortunately. The house has every facility we needed for preparing/cooking/eating meals and even a well stocked cupboard of herbs/spices/oils/. There was even enough tea and coffee for all of us for the weekend. The house is just a few yards from the A82 and there is traffic (although sporadic) through the night. If you like the windows open at night you will hear it but after a day’s walking through the stunning Scottish scenery it wasn’t a problem for us. We did find the mattresses on the beds a little uncomfortable but the beds themselves were plenty big enough (especially main bed which has a Super Kingsize like ours). There’s a fab cafe/gift shop next door. The fact that it always seems busy is a good sign, the Laroch Inn a mile away is fab (book a table as dinner service is only for two hours). There’s another coffee/farm shop a 10min walk away which makes delicious coffee. The house was just about in the middle of everything we wanted to do (Glencoe, Ben Nevis, Glenfinnan, Castle Stalker). It definitely contributed to an overall fabulous long weekend."
Hawthorn in Glencoe Village
10/10 Excellent
"We couldn't have hoped for a better accommodation in Glen Coe, with direct private access to the river, close to all local amenities, perfectly furnished to cater for bigger groups. We thoroughy enjoyed every minute of our stay."
Holly Tree Cottage in Glencoe
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay and loved the location. Wished we could have stayed longer. We had our own rooms and attached bathrooms which was much appreciated. Kitchen had amenities that we needed. Google Maps does indicate that the turn off the main highway is possible but it’s not. Its alternate route through the small streets is accurate. Hope we can come back again."
Glennoch Annex
8/10 Good
"This was a clean, well positioned place to stay. Communication with the host was excellent; we had a small problem that was fixed quickly. It was a small place, I can’t imagine 4 adults staying there, but for 2 people, for a couple of nights it was fine."
Traditional Cottage in the centre of Glencoe
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at Duart Cottage. The cottage was charming, cozy, and very comfortable. The surrounding scenery was absolutely spectacular. Our host was incredibly welcoming and had a thoughtful welcome basket waiting for us when we arrived. We highly recommend staying here!"
Callart View
10/10 Excellent
"Was truly an amazing stay. Highly recommend coming with a larger group and having the whole place to yourselves as it was so cosy and wonderful. My group wished we stayed longer in fact! We will be returning whenever in the area for some truly relaxing evenings."
