Darcey's is a gem in the urban wasteland of a major city. It's a relaxing environment with excellent rooms, thoughtful service and a truly convenient location.

Great twin room, spacious with a sofa, daily housecleaning including our dishes was very nice. A little breakfast each morning and the rooms were very dark and beds comfortable which meant we had surprisingly good sleep

All round great place to stay. Free breakfast was a delightful bonus and free secure parking was the essential feature for us. Hard to find in this location for a family of five at a very reasonable price.

Exceptionally clean property. Great shower pressure. Convenient microwave & toaster.
Only negatives were the TV which is quite old & not up to date with the additional free to air channels released in recent years. Also there is no fly screen in the bathroom & some mosquitoes were buzzing around the room.

Great location
Very lovely simple decor that works well
Recycling options for rubbish would be good.
Free parking is a little difficult but if you know the area you can find some where close by. A drop off option would be good rather than carrying from your parking.

We needed at short notice a convenient place to stay as close as reasonably possible to the Sydney Olympic Stadium. A very tall order, given the event (a soccer game with a crowd of over 83,000). This place suited us perfectly. A 15 minute taxi ride to the Stadium at close to peak hour, with all of the extra traffic for the event. Our accommodation was in a nice, quiet, spacious and very clean room. Nothing special — just good quality, comfortable, satisfying space for the pair of us.

Basic simplicity made it all easy, except for the parking...an explanation that the parking is off Cam St instead of Ingram would eliminate overshooting Cam St which is far better than trying to turn around on Ingram which is narrow and one way.
