The Bell & Crown

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful room with all that I needed for my overnight stay. I dined in the restaurant, and had breakfast, and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend the Belland Crown."

The Nog Inn

10/10 Excellent

"We enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet so we both slept really well. The food was fantastic, the best cooked steaks, delicious curry, and good service which is why it was full every night so we were glad we had prebooked. Breakfasts were good too, plenty of choice, eggs cooked to perfection. We will definitely visit The Nog Inn if we are in the area again."

The White Lion Inn

8/10 Good

"This Inn is a olde style building with wooden beams in the bedrooms etc. As such with this type of building there are low ceilings and hardly a straight wall anywhere. We found that our room although quaint wasn’t spotless as other places we’ve stayed. One of the two window blinds didn’t work, we couldn’t get it to drop down. Not a huge issue as the other blind did close. The biggest issue for us was that one of the two electric fans in the room was so dirty that if you had switched it on the layers of dust on it would have flown around the room. In saying this, we had booked a meal for the night we stayed, the food was excellent and the entire place filled with customers, a sure sign of quality food. The breakfast the next morning was excellent with plenty of choice. The full English we had was cooked to order and arrived hot, would highly recommend."

Historic cottage in the heart of Shaftesbury's Saxon area - town and country.

10/10 Excellent

"Quaint cottage in an excellent location, very central in Shaftesbury. The sofa's in the living room were well worn, a little on the uncomfortable side. But the rest of the cottage was wonderful! Bedrooms were beautiful. One full bathroom with both bath and shower (which was pretty small) with a toilet tucked in behind the shower. Second toilet just outside the main bathroom was handy. Good kitchen with all the basics. There are loads of stuff within walking distance, cute shops, pubs, grocery stores, Shaftesbury Abbey and Gold Hill. Great kebab place (Marmaris) just up from it, which we all loved. Overall, a lovely place!"
