The absolute best location for convenience to bus and train transportation. The front desk personnel were fantastic. The room is in need of repairs and updating. The area is busy; lots of traffic.

Great budget hotel
Lovely hotel in a great location for the train station, cruise port and city centre. Stayed here for 2 days before our cruise and a day after. We would certainly stay here again if cruise from Genoa again.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Appreciated the effort made by the staff to make the room ready for us, despite us checking-in early. Location next to the railway station was ideal and made traveling to Milan easy.

Absolutely delightful hotel which delivers well beyond its two stars. I will definitely stay again. The best reception and welcome I have ever had anywhere. Excellent staff in every way.

The location was perfect for a quick trip to Genoa since it’s across the street from the train station. It was quiet, clean with a great air conditioner.

Central location for an overnight stay
We stayed a nice at Hotel Chopin when we arrived at the train station, and departed from the cruise terminal. Location was great as it was a short walk to both! Hotel is basic, but good value. Room was large, bathroom ok (small shower), bed was ordinary, good wifi. Easy walk to restaurants, cafes, sights. Our room was on 2nd floor, but there is a small elevator for luggage. Bit of noise from the street below.

Really close to the train yet quiet and peaceful. My wife is Polish so she got along great with the manager ( a fellow Pole). THe room was spacious enough for more people.

Hotel Chopin is a great lower cost hotel close to train station and easy walk to harbour. Room was very clean and spacious! Front desk staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great with staff right there to make you fresh Cappuccinos. Great for our short stay.

Better than you might expect
I agree with previous favourable reviews. The staff are particularly helpful. Rooms are carved out of an old building. Mine had a large bathroom but I could see from the floor plan that other rooms were different. The staff on reception control the room temperature and will set and adjust it as you specify - you may need to have it set quite high on a cold day. The room was clean and the water was hot. There is a lift but you need to get up 12 steps to reach it. I felt secure as each floor had an additional door (for which you are given a key) between the landing and the rooms. Breakfast included ham and cheese and was perfectly adequate although I'd have liked some focaccia too. The TV had scores of channels but all Italian. I would certainly re-book if visiting Genoa again.

Convenient hotel for the Old Port and railway
Hotel Chopin is very good with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and tidy and a good wifi connection. The hotel is in a good location to explore the Old Port of Genova less than 10 minutes walking. Piazza Principe railway station is just across the street and the Metro station is only a very short walk. Hotel Chopin provides a great base to enjoy the city of Genova and region of Liguria.

Very good.
Very good, excellent location, friendly staff, regular to good breakfast. I would add a minibar at the room though. Next time in Genoa I will not hesitate to stay again in Chopin Hotel.

Nice place for sightseeing!
Close to Genoa principe station! Only 1 minute from the station. Cozy and good value. As my opinion, it’s more better the hotel has slippers and safety box in rooms.

Short but decent stay
We had a short stay here on our way to Venice. On our arrival, the person on reception was extremely helpful in providing us a rundown on where the hotel was located in relation to "hot spots" of what to see/do and how to get to them via public transport. There is a short flight of stairs to get to the elevator, but it's not many anf is doable. The room was spacious and able to fit 2 large suitcases. Breakfast was included, which was pastries, fruit, egg, toast, as well as wifi. Close to the PP station and close to some eateries.

Hotel close to train station
Located on a very busy street with little appeal from the street. Once inside staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a small single room. it was quiet and comfortable and clean. No fridge in room. Wifi good. Breakfast was good. Okay place to stay overnight. Easy to find across road from train station. Bus to airport leaves from in front of train station. 20 min walk to scenic port area.

Perfect.
Lovely hotel. Modern room with large bathroom. Very comfortable. Continental breakfast included everything you would ever want. The ham and cheese was particularly good. The staff were exceptional. Very helpful and friendly. I will probably return to Genoa. If so, I will certainly stay at The Chopin Hotel. Thoroughly recommended.

Staff will carry cases up steps to lift. No room safe.No minibar. Breakfast isok. Good free toiletries. Good sized room, large bathroom and shower area also with a bidet. Good sized wardrobe and coat hooks. TV has no English channels.

The staff was extremely nice. The hotel is very conveniently located, close to Piazza Principe station. Internet connection was not great, but the staff was helpful and willing to help fix the issue.

Just what I needed
The hotel provided just what I needed: extremely convenient location (2 minutes from train station), a clean room, nice hot shower, free and effective wifi, a simple but filling enough breakfast with made-to-order coffee, and friendly service. A bit noisy if you open the window, but overall speaking, value for money. Very satisfied.
